I highly recommend A1flyfishing for fabulous customer service and good quality gear at very reasonable prices. The South Pacific range is a great example. The rods are very reasonable in price, made well, look good, but more importantly feel good in the hand and cast really well. Due to a broken tip section (accidents will happen) I discovered they have a great warranty! Gary organised a new tip section for me by generating a custom order on his website, I added some other bits and pieces and hit "check out" and got free postage - so easy and painless!

Garry Hambly at A1 Flyfishing is outstanding for providing quality products and excellent service. I have his full range of SP rods from 4 to12/13# and caught amazing fish on all of them. Many of my fly-fishing buddies initially ignored my comments about how good the rods are until they saw some of the big fish I have stopped with them- 75kg Giant Tarpon, monster goldies and a 16kg Spaniard to name a few. My 8# holds the club record for a Red Bass I bullied from the reef at Exmouth WA. In addition, is Garry's innovative approach to line design and applications and now I almost exclusively match SP lines to my rods. Along with the Eclipse reels you can't go wrong. When I've damaged things through misuse or misadventure, Garry is quick to respond and promptly sees me back on the water with a replacement tip section, new spool or reel. I tie a lot of my own flies and A1 Flyfishing has a wide range of tools and materials to suit. I've never met him, but regard Garry as a friend as his service goes well beyond sales and education.

I hooked up with Gary to sort out a few problems with my casting and the results were fantastic , Gary got me on the right path and gave me a greater understanding of how a cast works .😀😀
