The Asian Store

Love having an abundance of Asian groceries locally. Staff are friendly- huge variety of stock especially frozen section , sauces and sweets. Absolutely love it ! What Southland has been needing.

Purchase a range of products from frozen, fresh and ready made sauces. Gentleman was friendly and helpful. Really good selections and the food was delicious when we cooked it. New favourite.

New store...Great selection. I know they're still growing with stock, but give it time. Already been a few times now. Always leaving with at least an item. Definitely worth a pop in!

19 Mar 2023 $2 for bananas - half price than Woolworths - and $3 for apples. I'll be shopping here for my fresh fruit and vegetables in future. Lots of other wonderful goodies and it's lovely and clean.

Finally an Asian grocery store in Southland!
It’s substantially sized with a fair bit of items already available, however, they are still setting up stock. Can’t wait to see what else will be filling up the shelves!

Truly a great store I am so glad Southland finally has an Asian grocery store. The only reason I didn't rate higher is because the variety of products is quite small and many things are constantly out of stock, needing roughly 10 business days to be restocked. Of course that is understandable it happens, so I am really hoping to come back to this review and give it a higher rating very soon.

The staff are extremely rude and paranoid. If you ever want to shop there, you need to make sure you’re not wearing a hat because apparently it automatically makes you a thief. I can never shop in peace and sometimes I like going there after my long walks where I’d be wearing a cap and they always make me feel uncomfortable and watch me in every isle and think we don’t notice. No one is friendly there.. not gonna support them anymore sadly.

The female staff is not friendly at all, no sense of customer service. seems she doesn’t welcome and like any customers. She might dislike her job.

Wanted to support a local asian --owned store but this is not it, disappointingly.

Very unfriendly (esp to other asians) and very small selection anyways. Also, much pricier for less quality.

Better going to Hong Kong supermarket in clayton where the selection and prices at least makes up for the service (and still friendlier than this place)

Rude and little consideration for good customer service.

I paid a few times with WeChat in the past and today when I walk up to the counter the lady told me ”today we don’t accept WeChat payment” without explaining why. I then politely told her that the last few times I was here, I was able to use WeChat. She replied back ”not today”. Zero reason given as to why and was continuously rude. If it was not for the fact they stocked a particular product I would not purchased the items I did.

The (asian) staff was so rude and awful toward the customer.
