What an excellent 👏 day. Great meal and fantastic service. The manager, Jessie went to extraordinary efforts to make sure our meal arrived as ordered. 😋 after our trip on the OSCAR W paddle steamer.
That chicken 🐔 schnitzel was cooked to perfection 🥰 and the Lamb shank was just so tender... finger licken good. If we had been home the plate would have been locked clean. 😃 😊 we will be back to do it all again. Thank you.

First time visitors to Clayton Bay, I was told to check out Pier 28. I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was great and tables were full which is always a good sign. All of our group thought the meals were delicious, we had the BBQ Wings and Garlic Bread for the entrè, then Mango Chicken, Pork Belly and Lamb Shanks for mains, kudos to the chef. Staff were very friendly and service was prompt. As you can see from the photos there is a wide selection of drinks to choose from. The best part is it doubles up as a great coffee shop in the morning for our caffeine fix before checking out the local sites nearby.
They also have a handy minimart down stairs which is perfect for those staying in the nearby caravan park.
Can't recommend the place enough and definitely worth adding to you list of places to visit.

The menu is diverse and everything we tried was exceptional. The schnitzel is particularly noteworthy—cheap, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked.

The service was top-notch. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was perfect from start to finish. Their knowledge of the menu and local ingredients added a special touch to our meal.

Pier 28 on Clayton Bay is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. The restaurant boasts stunning waterfront views, creating a serene and picturesque dining atmosphere.

I had the pleasure of havelunching at Pier 28 on Clayton Bay, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! We landed at the Doc with a big group and from the moment we arrived we were welcomed with the warmest greetings and extremely efficient staff members.

Such a beautiful atmosphere, I can't believe how the new owners have turned the place around. The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. Love the fact that Pier 28 is open majority of the time, we have really been needing something like this in Clayton for a long time. Upon my travels, I was pleasantly surprised by Pier28. From the friendly staff, the good food and a good atmosphere. The location is wonderful and they also have a shop inside the restaurant. The restaurant manager also made us feel very welcome! I’d recommend stopping by this hidden gem! Thanks for your hospitality

The service was impeccable, with a staff that was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also genuinely passionate about ensuring a memorable dining experience for every guest. Their recommendations were spot-on, and their enthusiasm added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening. Coffee and Saffron Ice cream are above and beyond. Make sure you don’t miss out these two!an absolute must-visit spot.

Super excited, a dining experience in Clayton Bay. A space with atmosphere and friendly staff. Now the food has taste sensation appeal. Having dinner twice in 2 days, I was treated to more surprises, how does everything taste so amazing? Try it for yourself. The live music was perfect for the opening night. Will be back soon.

Had a delightful lunch experience at Pier 28. Very friendly and caring staff. Loved the new decor and design of the restaurant. So glad to be able to come back to Clayton Bay and enjoy a beautiful meal by the river. Excellent Greek entree and garlic bread. Each of our main meals came promptly and were very tasty. The jewel in the crown was the simply delicious baklava dessert. Although the liquor license is a few weeks away we enjoyed some excellent fruit smoothies and wonderful coffee and tea. Will definitely be back again and again. Congratulations to all the staff for their wonderful service.

Travelled all the way from Adelaide to experience this new breakfast lunch and dinner venue at Clayton Bay. As soon as you walk in you realise it’s like nothing before. Friendly staff and a very attentive owner, Eric who strives to please. It was busy but the food came out fast and all the staff were very friendly and helpful A great effort considering Pier 28 has been open less than a week. Keep up the good work and we will all be back again. Can’t wait for the full menu and liquor license to kick in. Well done to all concerned.

I recently dined at this restaurant with a large group, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The staff handled our sizable party with finesse, and the food exceeded expectations both in taste and promptness. A top-notch choice for group gatherings with excellent food quality.

Visited Pier 28 last night for dinner, and the staff, food, and atmosphere were fantastic. It's a beautiful place with fantastic views—a great addition to the town, and they have done an amazing job. There was a slight delay in the food, likely due to high demand and the restaurant being busy, but it was handled very professionally.

We had an incredible evening at Pier 28 restaurant with my family. The ambiance was stylish, the staff were friendly, and the service was top-notch. The diverse menu offered a wide range of delicious options that everyone in our group enjoyed. It's definitely a place worth visiting for a fantastic dining experience!

Breakfast: Awesome. Coffee is sensational and venue overlooking the water/sleepy town of Clayton bay is great. Food was extremely good and staff were great.

Dinner: Whilst I was disappointed the menu was cut down and didn’t reflect what is published on their Facebook site, the smaller food menu still had some good options. Food all tasted great and everyone at the table enjoyed it.

No liquor licence just yet but given the time of year that’s understandable upon opening.

Only knock would be we made an online booking via their website and when we arrived they didn’t have it. Lucky they had a high table in the corner for us 7 and overall a good spot. Once the liquor licence lands and the full menu is in swing then I’m sure this place will the go to for many people close and a far.

It's a remarkable improvement from the past and a real gem for Clayton Bay.

A wonderful safe caring environment. The owners of Pier 28 are local heroes, a recent traumatic accident caused my brother to seek refuge in the Cafe. The wonderful owners cared for him until air ambulance arrived. Thank you for your selfless acts of kindness 🙏 ❤

Decided to take a drive from Glenelg down to Clayton Bay to check out the opening of the fabulous Pier 28 restaurant. Only took a bit over an hour to get there, and we enjoyed the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsular countryside on the way. Upon arrival, the view from our deck seating, overlooking the park and stretching to the Murray River, was breathtaking. The staff welcomed us with genuine warmth and attentiveness, eager to accommodate our needs. Didn’t take long for our dinner to arrive and once again we were surprised by the excellent quality which also featured vegan options for my friend. The live music perfectly complemented the evening’s excellent vibe. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

I LOVE it! I had the croissant with the sausage and cheese and OMG it was my best breakfast EVER. The hot chocolates are absolutely amazing and so are the milkshakes!! if you have had a busy day. This place will be your new best friend!! The place has a minimalistic style which is very cute, and it doesnt take too long for the food/drinks to be ready!! i recommend going here because its AMAZING!!! Five stars!
