Clayton Bay Riverside Holiday Park

This place is an absolute gem. We stumbled on it, when trying to make a late booking for the long weekend. Lucky enough to get the last three sites. It was the perfect place for a fabulous family weekend. There are no bells or whistles, just the beauty of nature and a very much loved and cared for park. The owners were so lovely, helpful and proud of their hard work. It is a beautiful park and we all had a ball. Thank you, guys. We will be back!

So we arrived at 7pm thinking we booked for this beautiful place over the phone, but mistakenly called some other park on our drive (not even sure who)
So we had no booking, the office was closed, and we were stuck without a place to camp.
Thankfully we rang the after hours number and the lady was so nice and helped us out over the phone giving us a camp spot, and explained everything we needed to know.
Beautiful place and great service !
Lovely family even come over later to make sure we were alright.
Highly recommend this place!

Great little spot for a weekend getaway. Beautiful well kept park with plenty to do whether it is kayaking, walking or taking a bike ride around the area. Pet friendly and lovely little swimming spot for kids. Will have to come again and visit the restaurant nearby which we glhave been told us well worthwhile a visit too.

Great family run business. Visited just before Christmas. Facilities were clean and tidy. Good camp kitchen. With lake front camping. We will be back.

Stayed in own caravan on a grassed area with floor mat. Very shady trees, lovely atmosphere & serene place. Thoroughly enjoyable.
The hosts ate very friendly people.

Great caravan park. Choose water's edge or back. Very relaxing and a sleepy hollow. Easy sites to get in with the van.

Came here on night one of our 7 day trip with our family of 6 for a single night stay as we were travelling the coast of Australia from Adelaide. We’re nearing the end of our journey having stayed at 5 other camping sites this one was, by a long shot the best one. To the owners of the park to the facilities they provide, everything was amazing. The whole park has a welcoming feeling and is clean and clearly well looked after. After speaking to the owner we even found that the park was built almost entirely by them from the ground up. They have canoes that you can hire to take on the lake that basically surround the camp site. They even have one of the nicest kitchen facilities of all the parks we’ve been to yet. If you’re looking for a place to stay on your trips or just anything in general I 100% recommend this place.

A great little caravan park! Really well cared for and looked after by Danny and Clair. Flat, well grassed sites with terrific views. Excellent amenities and large kitchen area. As quiet as I've ever heard in a park at night except for a healthy chorus of frogs :) I also really appreciate the subtle lighting at night with no annoying lights to shine into the van or to ruin the view of the stars. A wonderful and quiet base to explore the peninsula from.

3 nights. Lovely stay, wanted to stay longer but weather came in rough 😞.

So relaxing. It's our favourite place to go to switch off from everything else.

Lovely park. Park was full so rubbish bins filled very quickly. They need extra bin collection during peak periods. Toilets and showers were clean. Lots of mozzies so take bug spray.

Beautiful park and the best camp kitchen I've ever seen. Service was great. Only downside is the mosquitoes at night. Made me realise I'm a coastal girl.

FANTASTIC small caravan park on the lake. Huge powered site with lovely green grass! Sensational sunsets.

Stunning. We stayed here with a group of friends and kids on a cold but dry and sunny weekend at the end of May. We hired kayaks and life vests for a couple of hours in the afternoon sun, which was excellent. The lake there has some lovely spots by the lake that are sheltered by the reeds, and then you can get out and explore the lake a bit more. The camp kitchen was done up ~18 months before we went (May ‘21) and was in excellent condition with a great selection of stuff to use. The owner was always around the site and was really helpful and keen to please. Couldn’t recommend more. Thanks again to the owners!

Great little place . Nice and tidy. Owner operator chipping away improving park. Nice and quiet with great access to lake. Lots of bird life. Friendly staff even gave me some thread tape to fix a water leak on a fitting on my caravan haha
