Porters Liquor Iluka

Fabulous little bottle shop in the heart of iluka. Stock suits of the demographic well with an excellent selection of wines and beer. Staff are very friendly, welcoming and quick to lend expertise. Always returning :)

Great selection of alcohol, really had that corner store feel. Great to browse and buy something new.

Not many Bottleshops like this one. Best whisky range I have seen in the northern suburbs.

What an amazing liquor store, huge range of products that you don’t find in any run of the mill liquor store.

Very good little liquor store. We found Belgian beers like the Kriek which is a good cherry beer. In Belgium we make various recipes including rabbit Kriek, a delight. The very friendly welcome and we were able to share a bit of our experiences of tasting Belgian beers.

The staff show little regard or respect for customers. Picture this. Friday 6:15pm --and not for the first time -- a sign on the locked doors reads "DON'T GO ANYWHERE. WE'LL BE BACK SOON". Outside, SIX customers are waiting: a mum with her child, me and two young fellas and two tradies, one still in his glow vest having just racked up a thirst from driving 100 minutes from the airport and thought he'd save time skipping Dan Murphy's and going to Porters. Seven or Eight minutes later still the doors are locked. That's when I left... Not the way a fella wants to start a weekend. Try Cellarbrations in Kinross, or Murphy's in Currambine where you find the respect you deserve.
UPDATE : More disrespect... The unethical 5 star review immediately following this post is from none other than "Wesley Ham Venue Manager at Iluka Plaza Cellars" which is what Porters was originally going to be called.
