Great little grocery - very convenient. We were delighted to find ready-to-eat salad packs in the produce area. They were inexpensive and VERY tasty - and saved us a boatload of money. Checkout staff were cheerful, friendly, and efficient.

I was pleasantly surprised by this supermarket at the Ayers Rock Resort. I was expecting exorbitant prices for its location, but prices were affordable with most of the shelves well stocked. Fresh food area had good quality produce too & the staff were friendly

Supermarket is well stocked given its remote location in the Red Centre. A few items for picnic were sold out but apart from that it had everything I needed.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Car park at the back.

Best choice in terms of price for food, if you don’t want a ripoff from the town eateries. Many products like vegetables are still a bit pricy comparing to city prices

The first thing to know about the IGA at Yulara are the trading hours 10am to 7pm. So no last minute breakfast runs, no late night ice cream cravings. Get yourself organised, especially if you’re arriving in the late afternoon.

For a small store (roughly twice the size of a suburban 7-Eleven) there are a lot of gluten free products.

There’s all your standard items that are gluten free in Australia. Packets of chips (crips), fresh foods, small goods (most brands are GF), rice crackers, flavoured milks, yoghurts / dairy, curry kits / sauces, sauces for Asian dishes like pad thai or green curry and five cabinets of ice creams (check this list to see what ice creams are gluten free in Australia).

More special gluten free items include, Carman’s protein bars (like a luxury granola/muesli bar).
Six types of gluten free pasta (including a gnocchi)
Three breads
Flour, breadcrumbs, egg replacer
Three cereals and three ‘porridge’ options (oats are not allowed to be gluten free in Australia)
Plus a range of sweet biscuits and crackers.

If you make it to Ayers Rock in yuluru Australia ,it's a smart move to purchase snacks at their local market. We didn't see it until our second day because it's kinda hidden by the post office. It's a great way to have a cheap snack ( timtams). Get all your drinks for the day here. Make sure to try local foods and things you don't see at home. As it's the desert you will be well suited to stock up on water or beverage of choice before you start your day.

The hours of the shop should change it’s not very fair on people who live out in the community they struggle to get a ride to do shopping and what makes it hard is having to rush around for the time they should put it back too 9:00 😌😌

A great little supermarket with everything you might need and priced better than expected.

Well assorted shop with all the everyday requirements in groceries and extras.
A bit pricey, but considering the location I guess that it's only fair.
The shop is not just serving the visitors to the resort but also the approximately 800 staff living and working at the resort and servicing businesses.
Look out for bargains early in the morning. (Opens at 9 am)

I was really surprised at how much stuff they stock in the shop, considering its location prices were very reasonable. Obviously a little deer than MAJ cities, but amazing considering your location very friendly staff

If you are travelling through this region, I highly recommend you stop here for supplies.
Lots of vegan food available here.
Prices are far better than neighbouring communities although they are more expensive than the usual supermarkets in a city. As you can imagine, the cost of transporting food to this location is factored into the $RRP.

The store with it all. Great to be able to pick up nibbles and other items each day. Does not open until 10am but that is ok once you know. Prices were reasonable

This IGA is a godsend for those of us who work remote. It is three hours drive from where we work (out on the border) but if there is a chance to get through to Yulara its just the best. Proper cuts of decent meat, fresh veggies, fresh fruit, a much better selection of items. It's an oasis in the desert.

We loved the IGA at Ayers Rock Resort. Yes the items are more expensive when compared with the big cities but consider how far they have to travel! There is a wide range of foods available, even some international items (kimchi and paratha!) as well as staples. We found that the minced beef was actually quite reasonable and very tasty. They also do BBQ chickens but understandably they go pretty quick. If you are planning on cooking all your meals while in Uluru, then you can definitely get all your ingredients here.

Great choice of products and groceries, and the staff were very helpful. But be ready for markup for items as the transport is quite far out.
