Woolworths Metro Prahran

Good woolies, very big and has everything you need. For an inner city supermarket, this is superb.

With the recent renovations this Woolworths store now has a great selection and the staff are friendly.

My fave woolies. Open again! Looking good with the refurb.

The woolies is in front of a park with benches and tables that really convenient for pedestrians and cyclists. There are also a public library nearby.

This renovated Woolworths is better than the nearby Coles and way better than Aldi. Staff at Woolies are mostly friendly and some know regular shoppers by name. The only annoyance is this Woolies carries a smaller range than QV Centre (Melbourne 3000), St Kilda (3182), South Yarra (3141) or Malvern Central that's in Armadale (3143).

Really nice selection of fruit, fresh bread and the usual family items. Staff are friendly and helpful. My first choice for buying groceries when I'm in Prahan.

Clean, huge and well-stocked. Not too busy (but I have only been there four times so far). Decent Indian grocery options (much better than Coles next door)!

Newly built and super clean, well lit and determined to disorient you into a buying frenzy. This is state of the art marketing. Every trick known to the experts and unaware to us mortals, is at play. If you don't want to be caught off guard make a list and stick to it. Don't walk away from this place of brightly lit muzak with a one month supply of nappies and no baby at home.
All you need is here to be purchased. I gigantic array of everything from pens to pate. The fresh produce is of a wonderful standard. The staff are happy to be there and if you're anything like me; 160cm, there's always someone about pleased to help you reach that particularly juicy papaya. This store was marvellous during lockdown. Clean, friendly and kind. Parking is no problem or take the tram. If you must go to the Supermarket this and the neighbouring Coles are possibly the best I've experienced in my travels.

A great small place to buy stuff and spend form great time with ur family and friends. The products r fresh but little bit over price as compare to QV market, but it's cool place to get, some delicious, and mouth watering food.

Great location with ample convenient parking. Close to Chapel & Commercial Streets (for trams and buses). Short walk to Prahran station and Grattan Gardens. Friendly, long-term staff members. Wheelchair access and spacious areas to tie up bicycles and dogs.

12/01/2023 I came at around closing time, and a man at the self service check out (around 10:38pm) was so helpful to my purchase and very friendly, which is really hard to find these day.

Very understanding and helpful staff. Definately a peaceful and happy shopping experience. Thank you lovely folk !

I am very happy to be back shopping here.. The staff are excellent and so welcoming! I really like the new fit out, but guess the storage area is now much smaller..I would however like to see the Ocean Spray Ruby Red Grapefruit juice back on the shelf..😊

Absolutely brilliant staff.
After spilling olive oil (the worst thing you could possibly spill) they did an amazing job cleaning up the mess, and even replaced my bag free of charge, since the one I had was unusable.

This branch is very comprehensive and always has offers/reductions to many items. It is never crowded and you can always get your shopping done quickly. A multi story parking is provided by WOL for free by purchase validation.

Always fresh and welcoming, very helpful staff and the best presented supermarket in town. (Parking literally right above and catching the lift down to show is soooo easy).

The staff are always helpful and friendly. It’s a Woolworths that actually listens to your feedback. Oh and of course the store is always clean and the stock never disappoints me even when I usually visit right before closing

Thank god this has opened back up again! The redesign is really nice, everything is laid out the same from memory, and the new deli is super useful! I really don’t understand why it was closed for so long, but happy now that it’s back open. Shopping at Aldi and the Prahran market can only get you so far; additionally Woolworth’s Macro range has become very reasonably priced!

The all new metro store is great, well layed out, close to the underground car park and Prahran market.
