Brotherhood of St. Laurence Seaford Op Shop

Swung by today for a quick look while I was local. Always plenty of merchandise here. Picked up a new jigsaw and a book.

Well set out store. Some of the "exclusive" fashion items are at same price in the original store but hey... all proceeds are for the great work that the Brotherhood do with vulnerable people so why not?

If you are local, I encourage you to drop in and see if there is a treasure waiting for you.

I love this little store. There is so much great stuff here. Clothing, jewellery, art, craft & kitchen stuff, and more. Lovely staff and they play some good music!

OK someone needs to give this Op Shop some love! My goodness I think when they get donations of books they just throw them onto the shelves. Just needs one hour to fix. Perhaps one of the volunteers who was just standing around chatting to could do. Place looks like a junk shop, not hard to tidy up and make nice. So disappointing for Brotherhood of St. Laurence when they have a really easy way to bring in more sales.

Good range of stuff but a little over priced.

I am new in this country and this is my first time donate clothes. I was looking this kind of stores and found them on google. I've read also that they give receipt for tax deduction. So i brought heaps of clothing to donate. But they didnt give any receipt for tax deduction. And the most thing that i dont like that they tried to cheat me when i bought towels from them (for my soundproofing project). First the lady said $25 then she changed to $30 and when hubby wanted to pay she said all together $35. And i said sorry doesn't seems right and took it all out again and i count it my self. All towels cost me only$23. Here we trying to do a good deed. Yet we feel they trying to cheat you. Not a good experience. I dont mind i didnt get tax deduction receipt but don't try to cheat me. Dont bite hands that feds you. Next time I donate my stuffs elsewhere.
