DOC Pizza & Mozzarella Bar Delicatessen

We go to DOC all the time and honestly we are NEVER EVER DISAPPOINTED! Food is fresh and so many flavours, staff are fantastic and venue is gorgeous!!! Highly recommend going

Was surprised of the quality of food of this place as it looked like a a big franchise and bulk cooked food but we were wrong! We rarely find good Italian food after we came back from Italy it just doesn't compare here but the food in this place was great! The calzone was amazing!

I only review when I'm very happy happy of very disappointed and I was very happy with this place! It was also open later when other restaurants were already closed. The small goods section is also great lots of Italian stuff

Went there after squidding and we ordered the tiger prawn pizza and porcini pizza (truffle).

Tiger prawns were soooo fresh - it was incredibly flavourful.

I absolutely loved the truffle pizza too. Not sure how to describe it but enjoyed it so much.

The way they do their wood fire pizza base is so yummy. Really busy place. Went on a Sunday and I recommend making a reservation.

Had heard a lot about the place from acquaintances, but didn't try it out for a while. And if that's not a big regret I have, I don't know what is!

It's easily among the best pizza and Italian food I've had.

The starters were to die for. The pizza was so juicy and flavorful (just thinking of the pizza makes me want to go back in time to taste it again). And the dessert we had – the Tiramisu – was just sinful.

Will definitely go back to DOC for more!

Just a coffee and snack today. Top class place. Beautifully laid out and appointed. Staff up and about. Coffee utterly silky and beautiful. The small biscuit snack was delicious. It was very pleasant spending a half hour here. We’d happily return here anytime

Food and service is really good. Been there a couple of times when in town and hasn't disappointed once.

We didn't book before we came, but we were lucky to get a table. It was Monday but It's full.
The service was excellent, we were so happy to have dinner here as the staff were fantastic and friendly. All the food we ordered was very delicious. Even the dessert was great.
It's really a must to visit this restaurant if you come to Mornington.

Amazing authentic Italian pizza in Mornington. The front staff was super helpful in accommodating us with walk-ins. The pizzas were amazing especially the San Daniele. Super generous and quality slices of prosciutto and fresh buffalo mozzarella on a perfectly cooked pizza dough. The tomato sauce was fresh and delicious too. Will definitely be back when we are in the Mornington region.

Mia was fantastic. The place was packed. She was as busy as I’d expect someone to be on a Saturday night but she still came over to my wife and me so so many times asking us if we need anything or enjoyed the food. Which we did. The food and coffee were amazing. So was the frappe we bought from the adjoining store.

We were there on a Tuesday afternoon expecting it to be relatively calm. It was packed and we could see why.

Went there for mum's bday. We had an 1130 booking (it's recommended to book) they do take walkins also so it became very busy very quickly. It's a big place with lots of seating inside and out. There's plenty of parking in the free parking lot across the road in the side street. Food was very nice, big pizzas and decent sized pasta dishes. A little on the pricier side with mains around $33 each...but that's the norm these days. Lovely little deli adjoining the restaurant. Staff were very nice n attentive. Food came out pretty quick.

Excellent alfresco dining experience with delicious pizza, salad and prosciutto with a wide selection of beers and wines. Service was great too and staff were helpful recommending different Italian cuisine. Highly recommend checking out the deli section as well.

The food is as delicious 😋 as it always is at the Carlton restaurant. The mozzarella board tasting plate is worth it. If you love buffalla mozzarella you should definitely get the DOC pizza. Lovely venue and friendly staff. Only advice would be to avoid bringing your toddler if they can't sit still because the place can be overwhelming for the little one.

The food was really nice and our waitress Bethany was very helpful. The manager Ricardo was very nice as well and it was a great atmosphere! I live 2 hours away and will be coming back again :) grazies ❤

A review really can't do this place justice, you have to see to experience it to believe it. Packed to the rafters with queues out the door you'd be wise to make a reservation, but they will do all they can to accommodate walk ins. You might have to wait at the bar a bit. The energy, the staff running around like crazy yelling at each other in Italian. You could be forgiven for forgetting you're in Australia and not Italy. The pizzas are amazing which almost goes without saying at this point. Simply put the most authentic pizza you'll find this side of Italy.

I don’t typically drink coffee anymore, as I’m sensitive to caffeine.

But I ordered a large decaf cappuccino with coconut sugar and almond milk and it was a 10/10. Hands down the best cappuccino I’ve ever had.

I also just tried out my iPhone 14 Pro super wide angle camera. 😺!

Amazing! Had a couple days away in Mornington and thought I'd treat myself to a fancy Italian dinner. Popped in on a Tuesday expecting a quiet area but the place was busy and pumping. The manager was able to seat me straight away right next to the kitchen area. The server was knowledgeable about the cocktails, and best of all the food was absolutely amazing, tasty, hot, well presented and overall excellent.
I was in, fed and out within an hour which was perfect.

DOC has to be my favourite pizza in Melbourne. Thank you for accommodating our booking when we arrived late. This meal was superb and a great way to celebrate a special occasion.

DOC has been an established Italian restaurant in the Mornington community for some time now, offering traditional woodfired pizza and various Italian dishes.

Having visited on several occasions now I can vouch for consistently high quality food options and friendly hospitality. If atmosphere is what you're looking for then visit on a Friday or Saturday night 🔥

doc mornington never fails to impress. i highly recommend the gnocci and the san danielle pizza! so amazing
