Friendly Grocer

This is a great grocery in a tight knit community helping residents of Ultimo survive during these tough times with the great CHEX initiative. The staff are amazing! Defiantly the friendly grocer. I'd like to share my experience with a staff member Vivian, he was absolutely incredible and helpful every time I visit. He will show me different products and the reviews and assists me, his friendly nature always makes me want to come back to the store.

The staff is absolutely amazing and helpful, especially those two lovley people Agatha and Vivian! Such a pleasant experience ☺ so nice to have store like this.

Hey Michael, please ask your staff NOT to smoke by the front entry, the smoke travels through the store and I was suffocating from the second hand smoke waiting for my turn at the cashier. I was livid. Otherwise, always happy to buy from your store when I visit K upstairs. Catch you next time. You still get 5 stars from me.

I needed a phone charger. Shopkeeper allowed me to open the packaging and test. I was offered a PowerPoint to charge phone there. Brilliant

Small and tight but well stocked with many items. Price is better than another store nearby we tried. Good location for tourists who stay at nearby hotels

Exellent family corner shop business with international food varieties and good bottle shop, very convenient.

Fantastic service from this wonderful grocery store. I'm currently in mandatory quarantine and wanted some essentials and treats. Michael happily took my order and it was promptly delivered. He went over and above to fulfill my order and ensured it was delivered asap. And it was Good Friday. Thanks so much for the fantastic and friendly service.

I really think that this friendly grocer has won the the FRIENDLY!!! the owners are super nice, kind, helpful and always trying to make you feel the best experience as a client... I have to say that a lot of times i see they have amazing offers and they prices are super competitive to coles or woolworths.

This friendly grocer has really won the name of FRIENDLY, super nice staff, always excellent offers and not much people know but the store is super big, has an extention in the back and you literally can find everything you need and more, also they have a bottle shop with excellent competitive prices. So im pretty happy to live around the corner and when ever i need to pop in. Thanks guys for your amazing job.

In a really convenient spot, live up the road and I go there all the time.
However, that john character (I'm not sure if he works there), overcharged me 0.03 cents AND THAT REALLY GRINDS MY GEARS!
Other than that, 4 Stars!

I love their approach on giving away free smoothie bananas in front of the shop.

Fantastic store. Every time I’ve needed something they always have had it. Friendly staff and always been helpful.

I am in quarantine in the city and I messaged the store on fb messenger and he replied right away and processed my order and got it delivered for free to me in 30 minutes!! Life saver!

Exactly as the name says Michael is a genuine guy who will look after you. Great to see that in the heart of the city.

Great for a quick stop, where you can pick up a variety of snacks, groceries, or drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Prices are reasonable, and service is good.

Convenient location, helpful service and good prices. They stock a great range of hard-to-come-by drinks too!

Living next door to this place is a godsend. They usually have everything I need, from Skippy peanut butter to Japanese noodles.
