Bridgewater Bay Cafe

Amazing place, amazing food, amazing people. The service was great, it was crazy busy on long weekend but still staff was so generous, accommodating and friendly. With amazing people around you, the food tastes even better.

Although they are doing a massive upgrade to the foreshore, this place is still by far my favourite little cafe right on the beach! We had vegan and vegetarian options, healthy and delicious! Had my 60th birthday lunch here with my hubby!

Wow, the view is fantastic.
And we had the scone with jam and cream. It was one of the best I had and really good. The coffee was great as well and their tea collection is very nice.

What a thriving little cafe.
I noticed the meals as I walked in. They looked great.
We were recommended to come and get the fish burger.
Well it did not disappoint. It was epic, we both agreed.
Apparently the coffee was really good too.
Plenty of young eager staff.
Nice cosy atmosphere.
Plenty tables outside if the weather permits.
I'll be be going back.

Had to visit two more times as we came back for work.
The iced chocolate and caramel slice were yummmmmy.
Plus I had to go one more fish burger and chips.
The best fish burgers I have ever tried.

Watching the seals body surfing was a bonus too.

I actually nearly didn't write this review as I wanted to keep this a secret but I took the advice of a local and boy they were not wrong.
Not only having one of the best views of a beach (the cafe is basically on the beach) but the food is dynamite! Everything was so delicious and the staff were so friendly.
Just a tip, make room for the berry cheesecake as it finished off our stay perfectly.

Set amongst a really beautiful surf beach 15mins away from Portland. Food is basic, but there is an opportunity for a nice alcoholic drink whilst taking in a spectacular ocean view! The beach is dog friendly, but when in eating areas, all dogs must be on leash. Highly recommended!

Hidden gem!!!!! If you want a decent breakfast, then come here. The staff are extremely friendly and service was great. The food was tremendous. Hot and fresh. Great scenery as well.

Lovely beach with easy access via a ramp. The cafe has a great selection and the food was delicious! Was so good went back a few weeks later added those photos as well.

Great fish and chips with a great view.

We're staying in the local area for a sea change backdrop and was desperate for a drop of espresso. Came across this gem on Google Maps and it was 2 mins away from our residence. Ordered a takeaway coffee, was served promptly and the owner was friendly and upbeat.

Sat under the beach umbrellas whilst we waited, our buzzer went off the I collected my liquid gold from the takeaway window. Located in such a fantastic spot in Bridgewater, this is a must visit if you're in the area.

Came here on Boxing Day. It was really busy but staff remained patient and approachable with friendly service. Food was great and the view was amazing. Appreciate that there was no public holiday surcharge and credit card surcharge like a lot of other businesses nowadays. Highly recommend this cafe if you are visiting Cape Bridgewater.

Food with a view is the best way to describe this place. We frequently visit Portland and never miss a visit here as the view is breathtaking and topped off with a wholesome meal and a glass of red.
Great country service and feel, I really love this place in winter while having a hot meal and watching the waves in the ocean and if lucky a whale or two.

Relaxing beach front café with fantastic ocean views. I had breakfast here and it was delicious. More than the food I enjoyed siting outside under the shade gazing and the ocean, wildlife, and people. Great atmosphere. Lucky, I had sun shining the day I visited here. I highly recommend this spot, I surely will visit again when I’m in the area. Breathtaking. Thanks, you for an unforgettable experience.

We stopped in to have a bite to eat and I must say the food is superb !

I had the egg and bacon in Turkish bread, and the chutney that accompanied it wasn't too sweet and perfectly savoury.

I would 100% recommend visiting here !

Maddest veggie burger ever covering all the bases with quinoa, halloumi, beetroot, egg, and pineapple! Amazing location as well. Cakes looked great too but sadly no time / room for cakes!

Dog-friendly, surfer paradise. We've been at this place for surfing. This spot has all the facilities, great waves and a cafe nearby.
