i think i just paid $26 for a $20 opal card and an ice tea. "paying by card is only available if you also buy something else", so i bought something else. for $6. caught a quick glimpse of the amount on the card reader; i wanted to check, but he quickly turned it away and showed me where i needed to place my card to pay. i didn't know the card itself costs nothing (other than in melbourne), so i wasn't too suspicious, although i was confused when the receipt he gave me only listed the $20 for the opal card - i thought he had forgotten the drink, when in reality, he let me pay $6 for it. when i read other people's experiences, this really could've been worse.

Tried to use with Bounce for storage. The staff member didn’t have proof on his app of my booking and refused to provide storage even after I contacted Bounce and their (very helpful) employee said they would process everything on their end, and the store would therefore still get paid. A waste of time and the attitude of the staff was quite rude, to be honest. If you want to store luggage near the train station, this is not your spot.

I got ripped off yesterday. I bought a replacement Opal card for my daughter. I gave him $20 but when I got home there was only $10 credit, and what was billed as a " total starter pack fee" of $10. When I consulted the official NSW website there is no such fee.
This scam shop is next door to the backpackers. Do not fall for this swindler

Overpriced scam. Guy at the checkout scanned my item twice and tried to hide it

Brought a bottle of water in from outside as I only wanted some food, he told me to leave. Nice one. I'm staying at a hostel near by for a few weeks and eat and drink like a horse, his loss.

We caught the guy trying to scam us.
We saw how the casher scanned a product twice and then tried charge us, when we asked for the recipt he changed his mind and scanned the products again. We still got scammed because the prices where crazy overpriced.

Misleading price markings. Show price for cheap items and not for more expensive of same type.
Ask for receipt and check prices!

Upcharged me from 5.50 to $10 on a single purchase, didn't mention it. Scam artist
