Farmers Fresh Rhodes

Always loved going there though it’s far from our place, price are good, quality is good, fruits and vegetables are always fresh and good quality tastes even when purchased on closing time..

Had a spoilage issue, and the shopkeeper politely resolved the issue with a bow. So I will definitely keep shopping here.

Great shop - fresh fruit and vegetables with a real flavour and smell, excellent deli selection...good deals...I love herbs - any bunch for less than $2; basil is MUST buy... helpful and friendly staff...This is what we really needed...my favourite shop in the Rhodes Waterside Centre 👍😊

Top shelf fruit and vegetables and so fresh. Once you have bought at Farmers Fresh, no way you would buy supermarket fruit and vegetables. Also the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Fruit and vegetables are so fresh and delicious. The prices are quite similar to Coles and aldi so would recommend to get some better quality and more fresh food

Great store and staff, however I do wish it was bigger!

I was really pleased when this shop opened, as there hadn't been a local independent fruit and vegetable shop since the one opposite had closed down some years earlier.
I attended the soft opening and spoke with one of the owners. I asked if it was possible he could get a specific grocery item in for me, as I hadn't been able to buy it locally since the other store had closed and I now had to go the Harris Farm Markets for it.
He promised he would. Over the next six months or so I shopped there almost every week. I would sometimes enquire about the item I had requested and would usually be told it would be in very soon. On one occasion, I met with the owner again and asked about it. He told me it must have been his brother I had spoken with previously, but he assured me he would get the item in for me. One day when I asked about it, a staff member told me to speak with the woman who places the stock orders. I spoke with her about the item. She told me she wasn't aware of my request. She asked for all the information about the item and we looked at photos on Google. She told me it was an easy item to order in, as they already purchased from this supplier. When I saw her next, she told me it had been ordered and would be in soon. She even showed me the shelf where it was to be placed. A week later, it was pouring with with rain, but I thought I would make the effort to attend the store, as I was keen to purchase the item. When I arrived, a woman behind the checkout shouted at me " oh yeah, we're not getting it." That was it. Apparently I had been waiting all that time for nothing. I did write a letter addressed the the owner and addressed it to the store, however it was ignored. The item was something that may have assisted in helping with an illness I have, so it was important to me. I actually wrote to the supplier asking if there was anywhere near Rhodes I could buy it. When they found out what happened, they were good enough to deliver a box to my workplace (at a great price).

I was a regular weekly shopper at Farmer's Fresh Rhodes with no issues until the appalling treatment I received from them today trying to return a tray of rotten tomatoes I bought from them the day before. The tray of 6 tomatoes looked ok on the outside but when you unwrapped the tray and turned the tomatoes over they were severely rotten with these awful black spots and they were all mouldy and slimey. They were disgusting. All I wanted was just another 6 fresh tomatoes, no big deal. When I tried to return the rotten tomatoes the female Asian shop assistant was extremely rude and tried to dismiss it as discounted stock and wouldn't exchange. I said the tomatoes are rotten and should not of been sold in the first place and I would just like 6 fresh ones to replace them please. This assistant then begrudgingly and rudely told me to take a tray of Roma tomatoes instead and dismissed me with a big roll of the eyes. I said to her there is no need to be so rude and she then yelled at me and said if you don't like it don't shop here ever again! I said I will never shop here again if you're going to sell people rotten produce and then treat customers so appallingly when they try to return your rotting produce that shouldn't of been on the shelves in the first place. I am absolutely disgusted at the appalling conduct of this shop assistant and I will gladly take her advice and never set foot in Farmer's Fresh Rhodes again. It's disgraceful that you treat customers like this. Your shop assistant is doing you a great disservice with her horrible attitude and behaviour. Very bad for business. Will never return.
