Bakehouse and Café ! Not sure how the Sweet Co got the title. Apologies to all. They get the 2.5 - I'll adjust the Sweet Co to a 5 to make up for my (?) error !
The Bakery: Hard place to review. Maybe a 2.5 but I'll give a 3. The female "Basil Fawlty" who served us almost encouraged us to leave before we started. Why people work on the front counter who clearly don't want to be there is beyond me - maybe we hit a bad day. Pies very average (mince only) and very average sausage rolls. Sweets ok. I didn't have the coffee but my wife said it was nothing to write home about. When compared to the Beechworth Bakery(s) - Bright. Beechworth etc - price wise, food and set-up - it fell far short. (Our friends said the steak sandwich was good). Disappointing.

Right behind the big Ned, you can find them. A little shop with a great selection of sweets. Icecream, donuts, and a range of sweet treats. We loved the icecream and donuts. Good old fashioned friendly service, the girl who served us even made the strawberry icecream into the shape of a rose for the kids! Looked great. Very highly recommended to visit if you are in the area.

The best ice cream and donuts in the North East Victorian region hands down. Both of these are freshly made on the premises which makes it taste a lot better. My partner and I enjoy coming up from Benalla once a week because it is that delicious.

Fantastic mini donuts…great as a quick bite to fill the stomach.

On our road trip back to Echuca this stop was definitely a huge highlight. The service was exceptional and range of sweet treats available had everyone happy. Would highly recommend the slight detour to any traveller it's absolutely worth it

Grateful to find Ona coffee not far off the main highway. Friendly service and nicely made coffees and lactose free milk available.

Unquestionably the best coffee between Sydney and Melbourne. Single origin Magic is a must! Salted caramel fudge was great too

The coffee and ice cream are both delicious but the guy running the place was also extremely friendly, welcoming and non judgemental which these days is sadly not as common as it should be.

By far the best coffee around, uses Ona Coffee beans, and have a perfect machine set up, the coffee beats even the best places in major towns. Well worth a stop.

4/5 coffee rating. Unique flavour. Milk specifically matched to the bean and the machine is adjusted regularly throughout the day. Also, the hot tiny donuts are an AWESOME treat! Worth giving them ago!
