Glenrowan bakehouse is that tasty i wished we lived next door!

We were in Glenrowan for a Ned Kelly adventure, and after we were aching for a good feed, we found the bakehouse on Gladstone St!

We ordered 2 plain pies, one steak pie, and two sausage rolls. Well, the pies are so full with tasty meat. I wish I could get them delivered 6hrs away to my home!

And don't get me started on the sausage rolls, well it's too late, I used to think my wife made the best sausage rolls I've ever eaten till I walk through the doors of Glenrowan bakehouse!

Perfectly cooked with a hint of onion and carrot, oh please, someone stop me from doing this post! my mouth is watering, just thinking about the sausage rolls and pies 🤤

The outdoor dining area was the best spot to sit on the day that was quite warm with a cold coke and the mist coming off the fan 100% 👌

We grabbed a delicious sausage role and pasty from the Bakery and had a picnic in the park near the hub. Lovely.

The chicken salad roll I had here, probably the nicest salad roll I've ever had and that's saying a lot as salad roll is my 'go to', lol.
Even my vegetable hating son loved it.
& we loved the jelly slice.
Very nice foods, and great service, lovely outdoor area with misty fan on a hot day. Great to sit by mural of Ned in the shade.
I would say as a pensioner the prices are a bit on the steep side for me ($27 for two salad rolls and one cake), but then again, probably pretty standard/comparable pricing to most other bakeries these days, & the food here is worth the price, very very nice. I look forward to returning.

Quick pitstop on our way to Canberra. Enjoyed early lunch of pie and vanilla slice. The pie pastry was amazing - fresh, flaky, thick but not too thick! Vanilla slice was huge - very generous sizing. Really lovely service too!

Little gem for a road trip stop. Fantastic sandwiches, sausage rolls and meat pies. This has become our first stop between Melbourne and Sydney .

This 4.1 rate imho is not deserved. It deserves a 5.0 . Why ?
The pies is an absolute heaven . I had the lamb variety. Fresh and gourmet tasty. I believe i can say this as ive tried some really good ones at brissie eg Pieman at Cleveland.
The coffee is just perfect. And if you love sweet combine it with their various fudge like sweets perfect (i dont take sugar with my coffee)
Finally
The vibe of the staff and the owner couple . You can tell they love what they do and good at it.
And if youre a coffee and bbq afficionado check out how they make them .
Oh ask him how they "heat up their pies" so that its like freshly baked!

After a long drive from the Blue Mountains, NSW this was a great place to have a break. The coffee, pies and sausage rolls were the best that I have had for some time. Excellent quality and very tasty. The lovely lady who bakes and serves was very polite and helpful.

What a little gem in an almost forgotten town. These types of places typically go really good or really bad. Good food friendly service with a small-town vibe and the fitout is in theme with the town. More people should detour from the highway for a feed and a walk.

We had lunch there on the way to
NSW, as it has good food and great customer service. Fast and efficient. Thoroughly enjoyed a beef and curry pie and a beef and pepper pie as well. Straight out of the oven, which was even better Couldnt have gotten fresher if we tried. Also bought a beesting with custard to share for afternoon tea. Would have loved to have a meander around town, but we were on a tight schedule.

Absolutely beautiful food, excellent service and great prices. We had breakfast there for 3 mornings and the coffee and egg and bacon sandwiches were delicious. We were lucky enough to be there on a Friday night when they do pizzas and it was absolutely amazing! Thankyou for making us feel so welcome Nd fir the great food

Best ham and salad sandwich I have ever tasted. Dog friendly. With dog water bowl.

Food was delicious I didn't have to wait long for our food to be ready. Coffee was good.

Fresh and delicious and very well priced.
We ordered 2 meat and salad rolls, a sausage roll, vanilla slice and 2 juices, a coffee and a bottle of water for $45.
The salad rolls were as big as our heads, so fresh and one of the best salad rolls we have had in a long time! Old school vanilla slice so thick with OG pink icing. A very large piece that we shared. Husbands almond milk latte is strong and very tasty.. . Friendly customer service, constant flow of customers. Place was clean and toilets were easily accessible.
Would highly recommend.

The chocolate eclair was to die for and the Schnitzel sandwich was made fresh.

Made props to the staff on site as they were clearly flat out but still service with a smile and the food was prompt.

I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area again.

One of the best pies we've had in a long time and a great vanilla slice!!! My dog loved the doggie donuts too!!!
