Friendly Grocer Glebe

This intimate, independent mini mart is always filled with charming and hard-working staff who I now talk about the photo about. There’s always a great specials bin and it’s nowhere near as pricey as you’d expect. You’ll be back. Great range of goods. Impeccably kept store. The gentleman that works there always has time for a quick joke. A Glebe institution

Great supermarket with no attitude re staff. Big Isles and huge range. Beats Coles and Woolies hands down. An $8 roast chook here is much bigger than the pigeons they flog at Coles

There is a great range despite the relatively small size. Wonderful staff who are helpful and genuinely want to know how your day is.

Inclusive grocer. Affordable.

Unfortunately I sometimes find myself shopping here when I don't have time to head to a larger supermarket. My advice would be to check the use by date on anything you buy here- products are often expired or very close to expiry. I have also found many of their products were stale or spoiled even though they were not expired (particularly corn chips)

Customer service is very hit and miss here. Some staff members will rudely have a long chat with friends and leave you waiting a long time to be served. I have also waited at the counter for a long time while the cashier took his sweet time packing a shelf and ignoring me. Overall its not a great mini supermarket.

Not that friendly of a grocer specially when the staff harass people working outside on the street. Please avoid this business

Got called “gorgeous” by a random man at the front. Yelled at the whole time I was in, workers did nothing about it. Some poor lady had to lead my and my friends out (all of us being CHILDREN) he yelled at us down the street “we have to policy to do bag checks” and that “you can run but you can’t hide” would not recommend
