North Carlton Convenience Store

HIDDEN GEM for all pie lovers. Honestly I came here early in the morning for milk and saw they had hot pies at the back. Oh my god. I had their beef burgundy pie and was honestly surprised how good they are (compared to the $$$ pies selling around Carlton). Imagine like thick outer pastry, flakey top, bold rich flavours, lots of filling, came with sauce. Yes, they're wholesale (not made on site) but who cares. Cheap too, I think it was like $5-7. Come in early in the morning because by 9:30am on a Saturday, they were out!

We go here probably 3-4 times per week. Staff always friendly, always working hard. Great range of handy things when you are caught in a pinch. I don't know what we would do without this shop!! Thanks team.

A classic of the local milk bar genre. A sadly dying breed that deserves our love and respect. Sure, it's hideously expensive and sometimes the guy is a bit grumpy or weird but you just haven't got to know him yet. Show some love for the local family business, jerks.

A family run convenience store - open very long hours. Have never failed to find what I am looking for on packed shelves in this small shop, ranging from dishwashing powder to milk, cheese, frozen vegetables, ice cream, confectionery and newspapers to scissors and a comb. Friendly service and takeaway coffee and snacks.

The lady was so rude! She even argued with me why I need a bag for the $40 I spent on tobacco/filters/papers. I'll be going to IGA just up the road from now on.

Over priced. Terrible service.
