Servo has re-opened since a few months back. A note on the door says they open from 4am until 11:40 (midnight). Got our usual strawberry milk. There are also cookware and a few other common household items sold. I was pleasantly surprised to see a couple of Filipino snacks on the shelf :)

BP Captains Mountain was our safe haven when we evacuated in the recent fires at Cypress Gardens and Forest Ridge. The staff were tremendous, nice hot showers and plenty of pies. Can't wait for the kitchen to reopen though.
BP Captains Mountain to close 24 Nov 2020. Hope someone buys it and reopens it.

The Mountain reopened today. Still a bit to do internally. Had a works burger and my wife and friends had the chicken works burger with a side of fries. Huge meal. We were impressed with the meal. New staff getting sorted out but we'll worth the wait. No prepared sandwiches like before, fresh fruit salad made on-site, the list goes on. The menu is extensive and should suit the majority of travellers and truckies wanting a decent home cooked meal. Huge range of household accessories and good range of kids toys. New bowsers which are very fast. Adblue on tap.

My impression is that once the teething hiccups are over, this will be a hub for locals, caravaners and truckie. Well worth the wait. Hopefully will realise it's potential as we saw 15 years ago.

Great truck stop plenty of parking for trucks,I've been stopping there for years and the staff are always friendly and go above and beyond to help. Amenities are very clean, and the food is faultless at very reasonable prices..,. phone reception is very poor at this location.
