Mavericks Eatery

Today is my 3rd visit to Mavericks. Coffee is always nice and hot and tasty. Today the young girl on the coffee machine was lovely, apologised for the wait. The young girl who took my order was a little cold and didn’t really interact which has been the same girl each time and this has been my experience each time. I watched as she served others and told them that there would be a wait due to other orders and the way she delivered it was probably a little off putting and the customers walked out. All she needs to do is smile and come across friendly and they would have had a totally different experience with Mavericks. I will be back as coffee is good and it’s easy to get to. Only noting the service with the young girl so hopefully the owners can encourage her to be a bit bubblier.
To the barista, (dark curlier hair tied back in a braid) even though you got a bit flustered with the amount of orders, keep up the good work you did an awesome job, your coffee is great and I’m a bit of a coffee snob!

The staff here are so lovely. I watched a young boy with all these coins… counting what we could afford to buy and go over all the options with the lady at the counter… everything he wanted he was a few dollars short… in the end she chipped in her own money so he had enough for a pie and drink combo he really wanted. I thought that was so nice. She made his day. He was so happy. But besides that cute little encounter this morning… the girls have always been so lovely and the coffee is EXTREMELY GOOD!!!

I was visiting the Hunter from Sydney and needed a coffee for my drive home. The girls greeted me with great enthusiasm and both had smiles from ear to ear. I was pleasantly surprised at just how good the coffee was! Better than most that I’ve had here in Sydney.

Pizzas are a large square that are so yummy. Recommend the works burger for dinner and their double bacon and egg roll with coffee for breakie

Good coffee and atmosphere, friendly staff!

For a cafe which is heavily inspired by Top Gun, the girls there have certainly got “the need for speed”.
