Cleaverville Campsite

We had this campsite recommended and it was worth it for the tides and the reef. Few midges and we did have to put up with others running their generator all night but it was free being the off season, so we couldn't really complain.

first week Feb 24 Beach camping - we arrived at dusk. Enjoyed a morning swim. Lots of camp sites and lots of space -toilets only

Sea breeze was welcomed on those hot 37deg days! Cooling down of evening to enjoy a nice open fire.
Beautiful shell collecting and reef exploring lots of sea life to see.
Whales are breeching about 2km off shore yesterday.
Yes midges are about so lather up !

Just beautiful, big area to camp and have privacy out in the open, there’s heaps of beaches but also a quite rocky which 4WD is ideal. Sunset is great, can be very windy so best to check the forecast before heading out to the hills

Thanks WA for another cracker beach camp. Cleaverille easy 12km drive in bit rough in some parts but better than most. Absolute beach side camping if lucky to snag one. Ridge camping and behind dune camping. $8 each a night pet friendly care takers on site to help out. Hopefully no sandfly's but risk you take on the beach!

Lovely to camp right near the beach. Plenty of midges at night. Beach to walk on in my campsite was average, choose your sites wisely… no facilities at all. Need to be self sufficient. Dogs welcome. Unlike 80 Mile Beach!

Absolutely beautiful place to camp up for the night. Although busy, it was still a very relaxing stay. Easy access to the beach. Clean toilet and amazing views.

This is a beautiful place especially if you get a spot up on the hill or down by the beach. Stunning views and amazing sunsets. Close to Karratha shopping and Roeburn for water. Camp manager is fantastic. Even brought us some of his catch. Sand flies are a problem at times.

Fantastic camp site - heaps of space & privacy

Fantastic place to 'do nothing' or swim, beach walk, climb the hill or pop into Karratha or Dampier for a few hours.

Great campground with lots of different types of spots to chose from.
Very close to creek fishing also where you can lauch a boat

Didn't stay but called in ,looks like a great place to bunk down need to be self-contained though

One of the best camping ground in WA, bring plenty of water it's scarce. Bring bait as well.

Couldn't be any happier. Checked in with caretaker and had any choice of a site. We managed to get a dune/cliff site overlooking the ocean. Took a bit of walking first but worth the effort. Caretaker is very obliging and helpful. Happy days

Cleaverville is such a nice campsite and good value close to the beach. Very clean and the rangers can't do enough for you and very friendly. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises.

A fantastic campground. Clean and spacious with bins and toilets. Fish during the high tide and collect a your lost tackle on the low tide. Please provide water for local birdlife

Great camp site where the maximum stay is 28 days. Good Telstra and fair TV reception. No water and only 1 toilet but very clean. 2 dump points. Good fishing and swimming.
