Exchange Hotel

Six of us on a bike trip travelled from Hervey Bay and stayed overnight at the pub.
We were met by a very friendly and helpful young lady who told us the best spot for our bikes and then allocated our rooms. The rooms were great, very clean, comfortable, and well appointed.
The beer was cold, and the meals were bloody good. I had the garlic prawn with rice and salad, and a couple of the guys had battered flathead fillets and chips. The other three had pizzas of various flavours.
Everyone one of us commented on how good the meals were and how great the staff were.
It's an amazing, well run hotel in a great little country town.

This has to be the best pub I have stayed at. The food was awesome.. I had beef and reef..The staff were so friendly. Jordy was behind bar, and then the next thing I knew, she was pumping out a beautiful tune on her guitar 🎸.
Met Loraine, the manager. She has done an amazing job of decorating the accommodation rooms. They are cosy and homey.
Differently recommended this hotel.

We stayed one night as a couple.
Very good price, big room, big confortable bed. Private terrasse for breakfast.
We also went to the pub where we could enjoy the friendly atmosphere and had a tasty giant vege pizza for 2 that we could not finish.
All in all, a very nice memory!

Staff are super friendly. Rooms are clean and bathroom is clean with nice hot water. I certainly will be back if hit the rail trail in the future.

Staff were kinda enough let me leave my bike in the room. I opted not to due to respect as my bike was filthy with dirt after the trail. But they have a bike rack which I chained it too.

Local, Toogoolawah Tom, put me on to the place. All an old biker could want. Clean, good food and drinks and friendly staff. I will be back. Soon.

Went for a Sunday drive and stopped at this pub for a feed. The reef and beef meal and the vegetarian pizza were delicious. Really nice atmosphere and the toilets were spotless clean. Will definitely go back.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ we recently popped into the Exchange hotel for lunch while out at Ramblers Drop Zone- it was honestly one of the best and most generous sized pub meals we’ve had in a long time. The pub itself was clean and tidy, staff friendly and our meals were awesome ! We were a larger group and arrived quite late in the afternoon, half expecting to be told the kitchen was closed. It wasn’t a problem at all and our meals were served I’m good time. We will be sure to stop in whenever we’re in Toogs and will be letting people know what a great experience we had at the Exchange Hotel.

I booked a room as a half way stop while riding the BVRT. Very friendly staff who where genuinely keen to help guests. Traditional ‘Pub’ accommodation that was quiet, warm and welcoming. Nice little touches include the recreations of old posters and a comfy balcony retreat.

Fabulous pub with excellent large and filling meals. Stayed the night whilst cycling the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail and had a very comfy bed and a good night's sleep.

The Exchange Hotel is a great stopover on the BVRT. Prices are good, meals are great. The room was very comfortable. This place is one of our favourites.

Great country hospitality and beautiful food. We were there on a car club cruise and 40 or more were booked in and of course they took everything in their stride got food out to tables quickly. Staff very friendly. Will be back here sooner than latter

Cycled the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail today and decided to have dinner at the Exchange Hotel Toogoolawah. Super friendly welcoming staff. I had the Thai beef salad which was very tasty and my wife had the Baby back ribs, they were the best she has ever tasted! Tender juicy and full of flavour. She shared some with me, I wish I had ordered them. Highly recommended. Please support our country pubs and restaurants.

Great old pub, our room was spotlessly clean the room amenities include a fridge, a tv aircon plus a heater we had access to a balcony with views of the mountains and regular paraglides.
Car parking is off street.
The food choices was excellent, friendly staff all round.
We will return.

Best pub ever! Very clean room, fans aircon, nice kitchen with brecky. Love the veranda you can sit on and look over the mountains. Nice big clean bathrooms (was great to get ready for wedding in) lovely owner and staff. AND the food downstairs is amazing. Wedding party came over for dinner from Somerset and liked it so much they all come back the next day for lunch. Restaurant quality - TOP chef. Would definately stay again.

Fantastic room and very bike friendly. The place was spotless and I have to admit one of the best Pub Hotels I have stayed in. Bar service was very prompt and not expensive. Food was also great. If you are doing the rail trail this is a great place to stay over.

Reasonable priced beers and the Angus burger with cheese is absolutely delicious. Great place for lunch along the rail trail.

Very nicely renovated hotel, keeping the original charm. Lyn was excellent getting me acquainted with the property and very generous offering undercover parking for my motorbike. Good food and great staff.
