Ridgey Didge Pies

I had a pepper steak pie here and I think it's honestly the best pie I have ever had in my life!

As per usual, this pie shop delivers the goods. Heaps of choices & all are really tasty, they also have rolls that are delicious & fresh made for you. All in all a nice place to get your snacks or lunch. Kev.

You can truly taste the 16years of baking experience in these Ridgy Didge Pies! This a cross section of the delicious puff pastery Kidney, Mushroom and Bacon Pie. The balance of flavors is warm, welcoming and the kidney is not over powering.
The store owner was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks for the great pie.

I visited the Forster store on a Saturday morning.
Smelt something wonderful a real "Australian Pie Shop"
I asked the owner "are your sausage rolls real do the have meat in them"
The owner couldn't have been nicer he explained how they were made ingredients etc.
He was right 'THEY ARE BEYOND GREAT the rolls I purchased were the best I have purchased in 40 years.

The pastry is crisp & flaky and the fillings are top quality compared to the sub standard commercially produced pies .
Trust me folks , I can’t get enough of these pies and look forward to my next one or two or six !

One of the reasons to go to Stocklands at Forster is to experience one of the excellent pies at Ridgey Didge Pies.

Ridgey Didge Pies only has pie shops on the NSW mid north coast and the Forster bakery has been a favourite of mine for many years and I always make an effort (even if I have to go out of my way) to grab a couple of pies from their excellent range every time I come up this way to visit my parents in the warmer months to swim at the many excellent beaches along this part of NSW.

Unlike other bakeries that only have six or so staple pies available Ridgey Didge has more than 30 flavoursome pies - and if you're lucky - the Oyster Kilpatrick pie.

My favourites are the chunky pepper steak pie, the Thai chicken curry, steak Diane and the beef stroganoff but with such a huge range available there is always something there for everyone - from the good old steak and mushroom and chicken pie to the more exotic like a chicken satay pie or honey soy chicken or lamb, mint and rosemary.

There also is a gluten free range.

Best of all - these pies don't collapse or full apart and are full of chucky beef or chicken (unless of course you go for a basic mince pie). The flaky pastry top is alway crunchy and light and buttery.

Believe me - one of the best pies you will have but they come at a price - the gourmet pies start at about $6+

Food was ok not as good as you would expect, not very hot. The rudeness of the older lady really struck me with her abrupt tone. Maybe she was tired or over people but we are friendly people so being abrupt wasn't necessary. The young girl who served us was friendly.
