Forster Houseboat Hire

We did Dolphin watch on Epic surf boat - one cool fastest boat with Boatshed number 1. It was def 100% pure adrenaline stuff for sure. We were two families who did the ride together so it was pretty much like having a private ride for us. Very helpful staffs who provided excellent customer service. Joel was our skipper who was very knowledgeable. We did late afternoon ride and were lucky enough to saw plenty of dolphins near the Forster Bridge and other areas in the lake. He then took us on a awesome wild ride around Wallis lake which kids loved it so much that my little daughter told Joel that he was the *Best-est*. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the Epic surf boat ride and we hope to do it again. Lisa, Joel and his team definitely get 5 star from us. Keep up the good work team!

Wasn't expecting the smaller boat but was glad in the end as it's much quicker and funner! Pro tip: If you have coffee or any other mildly-uncontainable-sometimes-volatile substance, leave it onshore.

The guide, Tim gave us plenty bang for our buck, as you'd expect from a highly experienced skipper. Respected the whales space / path and made sure we all had good views of the action. We got lucky with the aqua mammoths as they kept cutting us off in curiosity. The doughies at the end was the cherry on top.

Had a great family holiday on the houseboat on gorgeous Wallis lake. Forster houseboat hire have it all well setup with a bbq, lounge on the top deck… everything to have a great time along with recommended moorings and help if you have any questions or trouble. Will be back again.

Had a great afternoon kayaking in a transparent kayak, friendly family business and very knowledgeable. They made my husband and I feel comfortable as we haven't been kayaking since our teenage years .

My wife and I and our two teenage sons had an amazing time, for five days, on the 45' houseboat, Wallingat, on beautiful Wallis Lake in January 2023. Whilst the houseboat is relatively easy to control, Wallis Lake can be tricky to navigate because of shallow waters, narrow channels, the large number of other water vessels and holiday makers on the lake and silt relocation due to the 2022 floods. My wife and I were not particularly confident navigating the vessel. As it turns out this wasn't really an issue for the enjoyment of our holiday. The staff, Joel, Tessa, Charlie, Tim and Ferrero were sensational and simply could not do enough for all of us. When we wanted to move to a different spot, someone would come out and move us to a different location. The staff were never anything but friendly, helpful, extremely pleasant, informative and particularly safety conscious. In fact they are happy to move you every day to a different location if self navigation is not your thing in this large vessel. They even brought us out bait on one occasion which we felt was a stellar service! Fortunately we had hired an optional tender boat which allowed us to spend some time away from the houseboat exploring the magnificent waters of Wallis Lake. The Wallingat is an older vessel and probably needs a little bit of work inside here and there to make the experience even more pleasurable. Whilst the vessel sleeps 10, you may be a little crowded with this many passengers as some beds need to made up in the living and dining areas. The two permanent double beds below the deck however, were certainly very comfortable. None of this however, detracted from the wonderful experience we had on our holiday. This is an extremely reputable business with incredibly helpful and knowledgeable staff on the magnificent NSW North Coast offering a reasonably priced holiday, everyone should do at least once.

Our 4 night holiday was a resounding success. The staff were brilliant, very experienced and helpful. We would recommend Forster houseboats as worth every penny.

Our family booked the 45' houseboat for 3 nights and 4 days. Although the weather was wet most of the time, the houseboat had enough room to spread out as well as all the facilities you could need. The kids still went swimming and fishing and my wife and I managed to relax on the lake most of the time. By far the best thing were the staff. As I was wary of driving the houseboat myself even though I am sure if I had to I could get by, the staff were more then happy to come and relocate us to a different spot everyday. Best holiday we have had in years, highly recommended.

My parents took us for a fantastic 5 days on a Forster Luxury Houseboat April 2016. Rick, the owner, could not have been more helpful. We had never been on a houseboat and had no sea experience but with Rick's advice and service had no problems.
My family throughly recommends Forster Luxury Houseboats for a wonderful family holiday. We plan to book again soon!

We had a large group of 5 families hire the equipment in January 2015. Was told that new owners took over 3 months prior to our arrival. Rick and the staff could not have been more helpful and went out of their way to help us and make our experience first rate. We were so impressed with them we went back a further 2 times on our holiday. The price offered to our group was very reasonable for the equipment we hired- 4 stand up paddle boards, canoe & a kayak. All I can say is what a LEGEND rick the owner is, we have hired houseboats & BBQ boats through number one boat shed and rick had gone above and beyond to make sure our family has the absolute all time .
