West Barwon Reservoir

Nice little stopover sightseeing spot. The dam looks quite neat as you look into the reservoir. Very neat seeing the outlet from the dam spill into a calm little creek a little further down stream. Good spot for a walk around if you ever find yourself driving through the area. I'm sure all the infrastructure geeks would love this spot.

Great place to stop and stretch your legs and perhaps enjoy a picnic. Electric BBQ tables and toilets are on site.

One of the best reservoir or number one I have visited, what a natural resource and environment. Love this place in Forrest 3236 Vic. Must to visit and feel the nature. Do the long walk on track or do the bike ride on various bike tracks in this area. Forrest is very famous for the bike tracks. Close to Stevenson falls which is another attraction in this area. Check that fall is open as most of the time it is closed. You can do the fishing in Barwon river west branch. Brown trout and rainbow trout to 2.5 kg and redfin to 1 kg depending on your luck. Lake Elizabeth is close to this reservoir but didn't get a chance to visit that.

This is a hidden gem, it doesn't really show up when you're looking for things to do in the Otways. There are loads of walking trails that lead from this carpark, toilets, BBQ facilities, and a fantastic view of the reservoir. Beautiful place for a picnic and some fresh air.

We just needed somewhere to stop to give our dog a walk and this place was great! Toilets and BBQs and a big grassy area to play fetch. Also pretty cool to see the reservoir and the overflow.

Took the kids down for a quick spot of lunch and a look over the wall. Sadly, we didn't spot the platypus today, but word is they're in there somewhere.
6 year old had some fun reading about the animals on the info board and we all kept an eye out for the different bird species.

Good undercover bbq facilities. Toilets nearby. One gas bbq stopped working part way through cooking a meal but the other fired up without an issue. The bbq's are free to use so who's to complain? Pleasant walking tracks nearby.

You can walk to here along the Fern Gully walk. Or drive, a short distance from the town of Forrest
