It is one of the best places if you want to cut down all your ties with the world. Deep in the woods, no network coverage, surrounded by wildlife. A cafe and a playground to have some good time. A must go place for one of the most peaceful experiences.

We had our wedding at Donnelly River Village in November this year and couldn't have asked for a more perfect location. This was the perfect venue for us as we love the south west and the rustic vibes and it allowed us to have all our friends and family stay in the one place for the weekend (with no phone reception)! Sharon the manager was also an absolute dream to deal with!!

Beautiful place, all the local wildlife will just come right up to you with no fear. Very quiet and peaceful as well. If you want to enjoy nature and relax this is a great spot.

Really really pretty little town. Excellent little general store and the staff were very friendly. Just out the front there's a little gated area where you can feed emu's and kangaroos. Awesome.

It's a nice place for the kids to be kids with no gadgets. Explore the wild and be with nature. Amenities are good and okay for the place that's being maintained meticulously! Lots of Emu and Wallabies to spend time. Will visit again for sure.

We just got married at Donnelly River Village and it was spectacular.
The DRV team are incredibly flexible and easy to work with. The Worker's Club is a beautiful building full of character and comes furnished (this said, it's not the most aesthetic furniture so your mileage may vary depending on your vision). The cottages are a delight - all with fully functional kitchens and relatively new mattresses. It's safe and family-friendly. Our guests were overflowing with compliments about the Village and making plans to return for future events.
We couldn't have been happier with our experience.

So nice to see all of the improvements that have been going on. This was our first time going in the summer months as we are usually winter visitors.
Lovely walks and family time as usual.

Perfect way to unplug, pause and reset in a cosy forest setting! This was our second trip here and we’re finding more to love each time. Staff are helpful and very friendly, always willing to accommodate our requests. Zero wifi/internet signal means more time tuning into the amazing forest right on the back step, or chilling out with the wood fire crackling in the background… And of course enjoying the awesome wildlife. The animals are incredibly friendly!! Patting the roos, emus and possums is a big highlight… there’s loads of gorgeous birds around to enjoy too. Great walks available in all directions, and it’s only a short drive to some great little towns for a meal out. Love this cosy spot and hope to come back for many more getaways!

Donnelly village has lots of tame emus and kangaroos, feed is in store $3 for small box and $2 for a refill, also has nice flying fox. Good for children and visitors.

The food was all made on the premises. It was wholesome and delicious. The tea was leaf tea in a pot. We recommend the almond and orange biscuit (GF), the rocky road slice and the scones with jam and cream. They were also very kind to us when my family was overwhelmed and it made such a big difference. The store also sells hot meals, hiking needs and some touristy bits and pieces. The kangaroos and emus were all a bonus.

Only came through here for a brief stop after doing a day trip to Manjimup from Margaret River. Property is well kept, staff at the general store/reception were very friendly and welcoming. Seems like a great spot for a more off-grid break - as the website states, no wifi/reception area. Kangaroos are very friendly and fine being patted (witnessed two excited kids run up to one that just lay there enjoying the attention). Will definitely try to come back and book a stay in here.

Donnelly River has been our home away from home since 2005. It has seen our kids grow from babies to adults. We still talk about going back some day soon if we can all get our little ducks in a row, with work and school schedules. Great family get away. Get to simply enjoy old fashioned games nights, murder in the dark, spotlight and possum watching and feeding at night. Love the no electronics, no internet just talking and making memories.

We have the best time. Our children and us love the wildlife here. Feeding the kangaroo and parrot is our children favourite activity.

Awesome. Their website describes it as a special place. It really is. Great for a digital detox. Make sure you leave your kids' tablets set home for the full experience!

Enjoyed the friendliness if the General store staff and had the best scone and coffee. Arrived as the emus and kangaroos were being fed. Lovely atmosphere in this quaint village.

Peaceful, love the indigenous flora and fauna, the fireplace warming the house. Great walks amoung some of the tallest trees. No internet connection is a plus!

Stayed in the old school bunkhouse for one night while riding the Munda Biddi Trail. Bunks could be a bit more sturdy and we had a guest possum in the roof space but for $25 a night I'm not complaining. Facilities also included a small kitchen, toilet and bathroom. Great opportunity to see the Roos and Emus up close. Staff at the store were super friendly and the burgers were pretty tasty too. Would definitely like to come back with the whole family.
