Mutton Falls Tarana

We had a long weekend away at Mutton Falls with a group of friends. The house is beautifully presented with lots of old world charm and all the facilities you need. There was plenty of room for all eight of us, with areas to gather together and to get some quiet time alone as well.

We particularly loved dusk on deck looking over the river and evenings around the fire pit. And it was a special treat to have a hot bath on the deck watching the moon rise.

We did trips to Mayfield Garden (which was amazing), the pub and cafe at Tarana, and the Tarana Markets. We had a fantastic weekend and will definitely be back!

Had an absolutely fantastic weekend away at Mutton Falls Tarana. So picturesque, the perfect set up to enjoy sunset drinks, leisurely walks soaking up the sun with a beautiful river nearby, a great pub 5 minutes away if you feel like a country hamburger. Lee and John are fabulous hosts - very friendly and approachable and great with communication. The country feel, rustic homestead -with tonnes of room was the perfect size for the 3 families we stayed there with. Will so be organising another extended family holiday there. Thanks again for a relaxing, rejuvenating place to stay.

Such a great experience, a group of us went up to study in a new location before the HSC. We were able to have lovely mornings, study throughout the day in the barn and house, and finished the day of with nice walks around the area whilst the sun was setting and dinner at home or the local pub. Such a beautiful place!

Lyn and John are beautiful people and run what is clearly the Central West's best wedding venue, with a rustic barn, beautiful gardens and rolling green hills! They were relaxed, friendly and made the process of organising our wedding so easy. They definitely made us feel at home! You're not just booking a venue when you book with Mutton Falls B&B - it's more like adding a couple of members to your family! Lyn and John went above and beyond, providing us with accommodation the night of (but also the night before) the wedding, cooking us an awesome breakfast, setting up the tables and chairs at the ceremony and at the barn, looking after us on the day, making sure that we were fed and relaxed, saving the day a few times when we had forgotten to do something, and helping us pack up at the end. Unlike some venue owners who run around stressing out and put out bad vibes, Lyn and John made our guests feel welcome and kept the good vibes going all day and all night. Some of our guests actually commented that Lyn was one of the most interesting people they met at the wedding, or that they really enjoyed chatting to John when he set up the barbeque for bacon and eggs the next morning. Lyn and John made our special day even more memorable, and we will always be grateful for that. In fact, they and John made our weekend so lovely that when it was time to go we didn't want to leave! We highly recommend Mutton Falls B&B to any couple looking for a unique and charming wedding venue - you won't regret it!

Beautiful views all around this place. Just 2 hours 15 minutes beautiful and scenic drive. 20 minutes drive to Oberon and 30 minutes to Bathurst.

I stumbled upon this place last minute after my previous travel plans fell through, and I couldn't have been happier at the stroke of luck it was to have discovered Mutton Falls. Lyn and John are the warmest, most lovely couple and their beautiful home is a cozy, rustic retreat that I can see myself returning to again and again.

They were kind enough to light the fire, take us around the place to introduce us to the adorable animals (including the chooks!) and cook a fantastic breakfast of local produce. It is also quiet and secluded; I haven't slept so well in a long time. Even the linen was top notch!

I cannot stress how beautiful this place is, and how inviting and open Lyn and John are. I left feeling like family, and I will definitely be back.

What a great little B&B. Feels like your stepping back in time. The breakfast was included and what a feast it was, truely delicious. Great and friendly hosts made the stay all that much more special. Highly recommend if your looking for a peaceful country escape from the hustle and bustle from every day life. You will definately leave Mutton Falls relaxed, refreshed and with a full belly!!

What a welcome from Lynn and John! They were full so we camped in the Barn -a rustic feel and the best campsite we've had! We met the other guests over the fireplace inside the beautifully restored historical building and learnt about the local history. Charming and restful.. Highly recommended.

A hidden gem!!! This wonderful house is so cozy and well kept and looked after. Lyn and John are lovely welcoming hosts and made our stay great. And they are good cooks as well! :) we will definitely come back. And worth recommending this to all of our friends! Our daughter didnt even want to go home thats how much we loved this place!

We haven't even stayed our first of 3 nights but we love this place. We have booked it out for our accommodation over our wedding and couldn't be happier. Lyn and her husband go to all lengths to make sure you are comfortable and welcome.

We spent a lovely weekend at Mutton Falls. The property is just stunning, so well maintained and clean. We loved the country kitchen and outdoor fire pit with spectacular sunset and sunrise views. We will definitely be back again!
