O'Connell Cafe & Store

It had been a while since I was last here due tcovid and renovations being done,but I was pleasantly surprised to find that everything is wonderfully fresh. I had the stay chicken and cashew pizza, and it was delicious. The food was delivered promptly, and there were 8 of us dining together. There was minimal waiting once we had ordered. Everyone was very happy with their meals 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. As far as atmosphere, it would have been to have some sort of entertainment, but apart from that, the whole experience was great ,excellent food and service. Do yourself a favour and check out The O'Connell Hotel, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Cosy rural setting. Good old fashioned food. Gluten free bread so they made tasty toasties. Enjoyed the local coffee from Fish River Roasters. The staff very friendly and particularly attentive.

Being new to the area poses a challenge when not knowing where to eat,coffee or drink.

Well I am glad I went for a drive and discovered this little gem.

The food is good, the coffee was SO good I had 3.

The Barista Sarah was a ninja on the tamp.

Dyaine the owner is a character and has a wealth of knowledge.

The servings were as you’d expect for a country cafe…..HUGE!

Just along the O’Connell Avenue of Honour is a little ramshackle country gem dishing up great local roasted coffee and simple, delicious fare. Perfect eggs, neighbourhood jams and gluten free options such as an incredible looking lemon meringue tart. Just out of Bathurst on the way to Oberon. Make sure you stop here. Oh, and the prices are light on the wallet but better food than most city cafes.

Delicious fresh food, great service and beautiful outdoor atmosphere.

I am very glad this place exists as it saved me when I forgot my lunch and was heading out for a long haul trip.

Great little cafe! Really reasonable prices with a good choice on the menu, the BIGGEST vanilla slices in their delectable cake display, and the only cafe I've ever seen that has Fairy Bread on the Kids Menu. A gem in a lovely area, and well worth the drive.

What a great spot! Hidden away in the little town of O'Connell, the cafe is run by friendly locals, and offers well priced hearty foods and delicious sweets made on site. There's a great gift shop next door too. We met some lovely local residents who even invited us over for dinner! Seriously.

Beautiful little place. Stopped here for breakfast on our way back to Sydney, loved the outdoor patio, the food was delicious and very healthy portion sizes. Friendly service and the desserts! Wow! Delicious

Really good spot to take the grandson and wife to for school holiday morning tea, he liked the chocolate slice, she liked the scones ( but not the " aerated " cream, I liked the muffin, nice relaxed break. have been before, will go again, the new owners have nailed it!! * * * * *

It's a lovely little cafe supported by many local residents which speaks for the quality and service. Local Fish River coffee and home made delights for morning tea.
