The Steaming Cup

Dropped the dog off at Miss Chi Canine Salon for some pampering (great place by the way) and decided to take ourselves off to The Steaming Cup for some pampering of our own. We arrived shortly after opening time and the cafe was a little warm inside … understandable as the aircon hadn’t had time to cool the place down. We ordered a couple of ‘breakfast-type’ burgers (absolutely delicious) and a couple of coffees. I ordered a vanilla latte and my wife ordered an ice coffee. My latte was exceptional (Tim Adams coffee .. you’d expect nothing less) and I was feeling very chuffed with my selection … until my wife offered a sip of her iced coffee (apologies for the iced coffee photo … my wife couldn’t wait). Generally I’m not a fan of iced coffee but today I made the wrong choice … I know what I’m having next dog grooming day! The staff were patient, helpful, friendly, and engaging. This is a great cafe!

Had the house special breakfast, it was great. A nice relaxed vibe, clean and well laid out.

Omg this is my new favorite place. The beautiful girl at the counter was so welcoming and just gorgeous service. Both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast 🥞 We will be regulars, I hope you guys have an amazing Christmas and thank you so much x

Called in last week for a coffee and breakfast. Service was great, coffee and food were lovely and young girl on the front counter was very welcoming. Nice job!

Fairly speedy service.... Lovely food that is well priced...good coffee spacious interior with a kids area you can sit next to. A great option for brekky in the hinterland.

Fantastic fresh food prepared with love!! Great friendly staff. Courtyard is lovely place to have a great meal. Oh and the best coffee on the coast!

Best scone I had in a long time! Just as it should be not like the stodgy things you get in a lot of places. Always really good coffee too and friendly fast service. Definitely recommend for everything!

After a long around Tibrogargan, the food, coffee, atmosphere and service here were excellent!

I came here for breakie while waiting for a train. The staff was very friendly, I didn't wait long which was beautiful considering I had a train to catch and the food was beautiful ! I got a latte the bacon & egg burger w/mushrooms and was the perfect choice.
Will definitely co.e back if I have to stop here

A clean spacious cafe with a good choice of meals and snacks. There are treats for those that want a fresh cake or muffin. Meals range from light snacks to larger lunch options all at reasonable prices. A varied range of drinks is also available.

For breakfast I had the house special but the menu looks so amazing I will definitely be back to try the pancakes and waffles

We are not in the habit of doing reviews like this...most of the time we experience reasonable service and reasonable 'value for money' for what is essentially 'eating out food etc' rather than dining out. The Steaming Cup warrants full recognition for their exemplary service from friendly and accommodating staff who deliver excellent coffee in very hygienic and presentable premises. We do have however, ONE big problem with their scones...they can't make enough of them. We normally drop in on Saturday mornings on the way to Maroochy, and have learned to ring ahead asking them put two of their truly lovely scones to one side with our names on them. We hope they continue delivering the goods to a long queue of happy customers, just so long as we don't miss out.

The Cafe is massive and caters to families, kids, elderly, handicapped etc. Such a lovely and visually inclusive Cafe. Coffee has a tiny bitter zing to it which some may love more than others. Coffee came with a feckle chocolate and my daughters hot chocolate came with what looked like home made marshmallow. The only thing I could make a suggestion on is the price of a babychino, I've never seen once so expensive and chose to pay the 50c extra to get triple the amount in a small cup size. Will be back again !!!

Best coffee that I have ever had. They continue to amaze, their food is great, they remember regular customers orders. By the time that I pull up across the street and walk in my coffee is nearly ready. Great job guys.
