McCarthy's Bread Lounge

As I am a Coeliac they can cater for us very well. The food was lovely, was also able to buy GF, breads, buns and if I want to some slices. But had a lovely steak cheese and bacon pie for lunch.

Awesome bakery. Excellent range of pastries. Owner with a great sense of humour. Reasonably priced. Seating available. You should visit next time in Ulverstone

Lovely coffee, tasty food and a warm spacious and inviting atmosphere. We sat on the generous leather lounges and just enjoyed ourselves.

There’s an outdoor seating area in a lovely well maintained amphitheater style spot.

Simply amazing bakery/cafe. Some incredible food offerings available here. All of the standard bakery fare is excellent but they also have a range of incredibly tasty treats for you!

Just want to mention the Gluten free Bread options in this place.It is still quite hard to get much in the way of GF Bread in most bakery's.
This place is amazing. Loaves wholemeal and white.etc ham and cheese rolls and more.

Thank you for having gluten free pies! Not easy to find a bakery supporting gluten free options. I had the chicken and Brie, while the contents were yummy, it lacked the gravy. The short crust pastry also a little dry but still very tasty.
For dessert I had the apple and rhubarb and it tasted just like my late grandma’s apple cake, delicious!
My husband had the scallop mornay pie and was in seafood heaven.
In all a great experience.

What a find in Ulverstone!
Very friendly staff with a wide range of take home or eat in goodies. The coffee was fantastic and nice and hot. You won’t be disappointed.

Best bakery in Ulverstone and on the North West coast. Staff are friendly and very welcoming and ever too happy to help and offer assistance. Products are always fresh and yummy. Coffee is always outstanding and always how I order it. Always look forward to returning when up that way and always tell my family and friends to visit as they would never be disappointed.

This is the best place to eat at while travelling around Tasmania

After 3 months eating our way around Tasmania, McCarthy's Scallop Mornay pie is my #1 choice. Great, fun staff as well. I have some in the van freezer for friends. (Pies, not staff😄).

By far the best bakery in Ulverstone, not only are the staff so friendly and bubbly, but the food is amazing! You walk in and the bakery is so clean, and just such a nice spot to grab a coffee and a pie and relax for a while.
100% reccomend, will definitely be back.

Excellent, fresh pre-made cakes for birthdays and celebrations. We'll-organised, neat, clean Bakery with plenty of seating inside and outside in sunny courtyard.

First time visiting this bakery got the mocha slice and carrot cake and they are absolutely the best they are to die for I will definitely be going back to purchase more from them. Excellent work guys 😊 keep it up
