Pedro's "The Restaurant"

After reading some average reviews I still wanted to give this place a go. From the moment I walked in I was impressed with the decor and the staff let me pick my table. We had the seafood platter and it was better than expectations. Such a generous serving and a really succulent cray and fish. We thought the flavours were better than the famous Hursey seafood restaurant that we’d eaten in the night before. Nice sauces and some fruit on the platter to freshen it up! It is a beautiful setting looking onto the river (sunset is a bit glare on the deck but inside still has a lovely view!)

Had such a beautiful time here for my birthday with my partner.
Service was fantastic from the girls, attentive and all around added to the fun/comfortable atmosphere.
A lot of reviews here don’t seem to match the experience we had.
The walnut crusted trout (from the specials board) and New Zealand sole topped the list for us, so good.
The salt & pepper squid salad was also top tier.
Beautiful venue set out as well.

Very good & friendly staff service, a great selection of perfectly cooked & presented main meals, desert & coffee. All within a very comfortable atmosphere. Our group of 4 agreed 100% that we will definitely return. Thanks again to the waitresses for their professionalism. 🤓

Beautiful location, excellent hospitality and the food was excellent! On the recommendation of a local, we drove from Devonport and were not disappointed. The dozen natural oysters, flounder, flathead and lamb shank were fresh and delicious. Happy Qlders!!

My husband and I went for a Sunday drive and popped into Pedro’s for a late lunch, as we had been there before and really enjoyed the experience. We were welcomed warmly and offered a table out in the covered deck, which was perfect! Our waitress recommended a couple of options as we were undecided as everything looked very enticing. We opted to share a generous seafood platter and enjoyed this with a couple of glasses of local wine. Perfection! However we were so happy and relaxed after our lunch my husband left his favourite jacket on the back of the dining chair! Our lovely hosts popped in the mail to us without any trouble at all, and we were so appreciative of this gesture. We highly recommend Pedro’s for dinner or lunch and very much looking forward to a return visit soon.

The fish in batter was the best since moving from Sydney in 2017. The meat was white and tender, the batter was just right, not too thick, not to thin. The chips were perfect and the potato cakes (scallop potato cakes on the mainland) were the best I have ever had. 1 peice of fish, about 15 chips and 3 potato cakes about $23. Yes, very pricey. Would I go back. Hell Yes! But only as special treat. Just a thought. Richard from Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺

First time visit and omg absolutely fantastic experience.
The drinks were cold, food was terrific service and staff was absolutely fantastic. I can not really fault this place. The prices are very reasonable. Will definitely go back

Fantastic! Platter for two was very DELICIOUS. Service was impeccable. Even though there was quite a big party in for a meal our servers were attentive and efficient. I do believe even the owner was running around. We sat in the deck area which is enclosed and was surprisingly warm. Wonderful experience.

Food was great service was excellent. Only thing I could mention is the servings are huge. Be prepared to be served a big meal. Pure blonde beer was icey cold .

Spaghetti marinara still my husbands favourite here, but honestly everything is great and very generous serves.
So grateful that we live close by and come often 😉

Excellent restaurant, we had a nice dinner there, service was good, food was excellent and well proportioned, prices were reasonable, would recommend.

2019/05/0/12 MOTHER'S DAY. We didn't have a reservation, cleanly forgot. However the staff went out of their way to find us a spot in a jam-packed restaurant. Service was excellent, food top standard and once again exception staff. Will visit again. Wheelchair accessible parking and restaurant. Hygienic amenities. Awesome views of Leven River Ulverstone. Worthwhile to visit!

The food was cooked and served absolutely amazing haven’t tasted anything better and the service couldn’t of been any better always made sure we was alright and the food was good the view of the ocean made it 100% better looking out and seeing the 5 star would recommend

Turns out 8pm Sunday in Ulverstone is when the kitchens close. However, the lights were still on at Pedro's as the last (happy) customers finished dessert. The owner kindly offered me fish and chips if that would do me, and it was one of those unexpected perfect meals. Fresh fish in the lightest batter, crisp chips, home made aioli and a delicious salad. And lovely service. Thinking I'll be back on a non-work trip for a more leisurely wander through their menu and during the day, when I'm sure the view would be splendid.

My hubby and I were up from Lachlan for the weekend Pedro's was recommended. Absolutely fabulous we did not having a booking and it was very busy, we were greeted by the owner who seated us over the water, service was attentive and not intrusive I had half serve of fish chips hubby garlic prawns generous portions delicious amazing night watching the sunset over the water thank you Pedro's

Get on the Classic Pedro's fish and chips, won't find better and service is fantastic!

We ate a seafood plate. It was so good. And I think that price was just right.
