Berkelouw Book Barn

Absolutely breathtaking. The atmosphere at this venue is like something out of a movie. The staff were so helpful in assisting me to find a book I'd been after for a while. The hospitality staff were super accommodating even though they had a wedding on at 3 and we arrived at around quarter past two, they found us a table and whipped up a delicious lunch. I can't recommend this place high enough. Well worth a visit!

I want more place like this! Beautiful country setting, a barn full of books and great food.
Initially I thought there’s a café there, not aware it’s a full fledged restaurant. We were told the dinning space is more like a cafe setting in the morning.
I wish there are more casual sitting space through the day just for coffee/snacks and book browsing.

Lovely venue and enjoyed our food. Thought I would lose my sister forever in the rows of books 😄 Very clever to have all book shelves on wheels to move for events.

Beautiful scenery and environment 😍🏞. The area is huge and comprises of many sections and seperate restaurants for a plethora of menu options. Food is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Book barn 📕 is such a smart and unique idea, enjoy the power of reading while you wake for your delicious food. Two friendly dogs and a multiple fireplaces. Very gourmet food. Five stars, would DEFINTELY recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐and return🤩!!

Beautiful Place, Nice Staff, great food.

We had the Lentil Salad and side of shoestring fries. Food was delivered to table extremely quickly and tasted delicious. The estates own wine is excellent and the book store it self is beautiful.

Only reviewing for the bookshop part as I haven't tried the food nor drinks. The lady at the book counter was very kind and helpful, the place is full of second hand books on top of a small section of new books. It's a very nice place where you can find gems, it even has a tiny section of foreign books.

A wonderful and inviting atmosphere with high beam areas and fireplace. Plenty of old, rare and very rare but also some new books on offer that will entice many readers. The building is quite lovely with several areas in which to take in some of the delightfully delicious menu offerings. A book lovers dream destination in Australia's famous Book Town!

Beautiful new and used book shop with attached restaurant on a lovely winery estate. Coffee was takeaway only when I visited which may be because they were prepping for lunch service and are usually fully booked.

Had our wedding at The Book Barn recently. Beautiful venue, great food and very attentive staff/coordinators.

Beautiful Location with stunning trees. Lots of second hand books that are of high quality as well as new books. The customer service is amazing and highly attentive. Beautiful fireplaces used during colder days. Highly recommended to get the cheese platter with cheddar and blue cheese.

Stunning place to visit! We had booked for lunch and had the most exquisite experience there. Loads of charm sitting amongst the books, near a stunning stone fireplace. This newly purpose built barn venue is packed with attention to detail that instantly immerses you into a great relaxing mood. Great wines and food to simply die for. We had the blue swimmer crab linguini with chilli and garlic and it has become one of the most memorable dishes I've ever had. I cannot recommend this venue enough! It's a must visit!

Excellent coffee and food. I didn’t feel it was overpriced given the beautiful and well maintained estate. Also appreciated the unique artwork that were displayed.
