Bendooley Estate

We had our wedding at Bendooley Estate, and to put it simply, it was perfect.

The grounds are absolutely stunning and the book barn was a beautiful venue for the reception.

Bendooley was very responsive in the lead up to the wedding, and provided useful advice and suggestions about how to make our wedding day special.

The staff on the day were amazing and very professional. They were able to accommodate any reasonable last minute requests or adjustments we had. As a result the entire day ran smoothly.

We highly recommend Bendooley Estate as a wedding venue to all.

As always the food and service was exceptional. We had our small wedding lunch in the cellar door and the service from the staff was amazing. The food was so fresh and delicious and there was so much of it too. Well worth the price and you’d be hard pressed to get better value, friendly staff, ambience and all round amazingness anywhere else. Definitely can’t wait to get back there for another signature lunch. Great selection of wines to try for purchase as well.

Brought a foodie friend from New York for lunch, Bendooley Estate didn’t disappoint. The pizzas were perfect, the dining conditions spot on (nicely air conditioned inside on a 32 degree day) the beer icy cold. The book store was perused for 15 minutes after dining. Friend very impressed!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The venue is sensational. The food magnificent. Above all else, the service amazing. From booking to payment on leaving, the staff were so friendly and down to earth. What a great experience.

Visited the cellar door and managed to get in for a tasting with Jen. We tried 8 beautiful different types of wine including a generous as additional pour. This convinced us to buy two cases of their reserve wine. Jen shared great local details and really helped us enjoy the wine on a hot day.

The experience, location and service is always amazing. I recommend the wine tasting to anyone visiting for amazing local products and service without fault.

Dream wedding venue. It was our first venue visit and we decided to look at a few more 'just in case' but that was not needed because we kept drawing ourselves back to the stables. A lot of previous brides said Bendooley was great for the communication, service, flexibility and food and wow, they were right. Kelly was our wedding coordinator and she was so kind, communicated to us so well (we never needed to wait long or follow up on emails), was super helpful in guiding us through the whole process. Izzy on the day was also just as amazing. She ensured everything was in place so you can enjoy the day. Our guests complicated heavily on the food and how beautiful the venue is. I hope my friends who are yet to get married, to get married at The Stables because it is truly fantastic!

Sort of halfway between Sydney and Canberra just the perfect spot to have a sisters catch up. We started off with Mandy at the Cellar Door who gave us the perfect mix of info and space to enjoy both the wine and conversation. She was so lovely. Neither of us had had Brekky so tasting 8 wines was a bit dangerous on an empty stomach! We followed up with lunch at the Barn Door - we both went with steak and salad for the main, the eye fillet and scotch fillet - we devoured the lot. We followed this with a browse through the bookshelves and garden before heading into Berrima for coffee. We’ll be back for sure!

My friends and I really enjoyed our wine tasting at Bendooley Estate. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable about the wines we sampled. The charcuterie and cheese boards were delicious. We browsed the books in the adjacent barn before leaving. It was a very pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

Wonderful winery. Lovely wines. Great Cellar Door visit. Many wines to choose 8 for your tasting. Excellent charcuterie and cheeses. Friendly helpful service. Highly recommended.

Went there with my Mom and my baby to celebrate Mother's day in May. It was beautiful and the food was amazing. Service is also top notch. Coming back again to celebrate my husband's birthday there in Spring.
Update, we had an amazing lunch to celebrate my husband's birthday. We ordered a dessert and the team made our day felt extra special by adding a Birthday Plate Chocolate (I was asking for a small candle!). Definitely will return again.

Great place for lunch with beautiful view.
I liked the Sujuk Sausage pizza 🍕 - absolutely amazing. Also, the local Pinot Gris was very good. The ambiance is very cosy - you can choose between the room with a view on the vineyard or a library barn. Any room is good - see the photos.
During school holidays it is essential to book in advance. Plenty of parking. The booking for wine tasting is separate. I highly recommend to book in advance during holidays season. Great choice of books - found some old interesting books signed by authors :). Worth exploring.

We had our wedding here and honestly can not speak highly enough of this venue! We had the most perfect, magical fairytale wedding of our dreams and the staff and organisation of this place made that possible. The food was excellent, the grounds are stunning with breathtaking views, the rooms were luxurious and comfortable. We love this place so much and will be coming back to celebrate our one year anniversary

Really lovely and easy to get to location. Great atmosphere inside not too noisy and they were very kids friendly. Service was great. Food was excellent. Grazing platter very good. Don’t need to be a wine/alcohol person to enjoy lunch here.

Great experience- we have been before and always enjoy ourselves. There was an issue with one of our meals but it was picked up by our waiter, resolved very quickly and professionally. Always enjoy being surrounded by books. Look forward to our next visit

Went to the cellar door. First impressions were not great but Peter had spectacular service recovery; his knowledge, charming demeanour and clear passion for wine won us over. The riesling and nebbiolo are a must try. Abi rang us up with a warm and friendly vibe. Perfect way to spend an afternoon: with a cheese board, exceptional wine and excellent service.

I’ve been here a couple of times for different occasions and have also stayed at their wonderful cottages.
I recently celebrated my birthday here and everything was beyond impeccable. Always my go to place for good food and even better views.

Great atmosphere - a hidden gem. Had the steak for lunch - best steak I’ve had in a long while. Definitely going back to try other things on the menu.

Superb setting with the backdrop of the pond for the ceremony. Lovely canapés & champers for the guests to mingle by the pond. Amazing food & service in the book barn for the reception. So glad we were invited.

Hayden and I got married at Bendooley estate end of September. Not only was Kelly the most amazing organiser before the wedding answering all our questions and giving us every piece of information we needed, she also helped figured out logistics of something that popped up the days leading up to the wedding and day of with absolutely no issue! She was absolutely incredible and made our day as amazing as it was!

On the day Kai made sure everything was perfect and running smoothly, he recommended ways to do things that made our day so much better and honestly he was working harder than me to make the day as good as it was! everything was so smooth and happened exactly when it needed too.

The food and drinks were perfect, we could not fault a thing, every single person left full and happy regardless of their dietaries, Bendooley’s menu is so inclusive and their veggie and vegan options were spectacular. the desserts were also amazing and so many of us were full and couldn’t eat much more, again such great options and super inclusive menu not a single person was disappointed!

If you’re looking for a wedding venue I cannot recommend Bendooley enough, we felt so taken care of throughout the whole process and had literally zero issues with the venue and all the staff!

On top of all this, their grounds are absolutely spectacular and were the perfect setting for our wedding, they have so many options incase the weather wasn’t as perfect as we had, they take the best care of everything and its so gorgeous 24/7 all year round!!

We frequent bendooley for all special occasions even my sisters wedding. The overall experience is amazing, food is always good. Can never go wrong with the steak, cooked to perfection.
