Very refined flavours - the autumn menu sings. The matched pairing of wine is worth the experience. Fantastic herb garden also finely manicured. Beautiful food in a fine environment- warm fire. Tess really knows her wine - the list is extensive the use of locally sourced ingredients is incredible.

Flavours of all the dishes were well-balanced and delicious. The wine pairings took the flavours to the next level. It was similar to the level I have only experienced at restaurants charging 2-3 times more than Chauncy. Rolled out of the restaurant after 4 hours, but it never felt long between courses/drinks! Our waitresses were friendly and knowledgeable. Looking forward to coming back!

Our meal at Chauncy was phenomenal. Everything was flawless - presentation, flavours, service and wine. Each dish was perfectly balanced and we honestly couldn't fault a single thing. They serve half glasses of wine and made recommendations alongside the menu - a great option rather than the full pairing.
We added the scallops, as an extra dish, which was probably our least favourite (still amazing, but everything else was exceptional) and the menu quantity is sufficient without requiring the addition.
Highly recommend adding the dessert! We tried the creme brulee and it was superb.
Chauncy absolutely deserve the title of Best Regional Restaurant and honestly are up there with the best in Victoria. We can't wait to come back!

AMAZING experience at Chauncy yet again. The chef and sommelier are down to earth and so incredibly talented. The food is sublime, the wine list and knowledge - impeccable. I'm already looking forward to our next meal here.

Celebrated my birthday there recently and it was a fantastic experience. We were very well looked from the amazing menu put forth by Louis and his team in the kitchen, and the service by Tess with her team friendly and responsive waitstaff. Tess’ list of wines, both international and local, with some rare unicorn bottles is superb and also reasonably priced for a two chef hatted restaurant. Well worth the drive from Melbourne or wherever else in Victoria- but book well ahead!

Stunning menu which was well priced for the quality. We added the marron dish for an additional $50. Beautiful presentation and delicate flavours. Service was attentive. Well worth the 2 hour drive from Melbourne. Highly recommended. Will definitely return!

Delightful lunch. Everything was well balanced and made with lots of care. It's a long lunch, 3.5hrs. You can wander around the garden in between where a lot of the office is freshly grown.

Another fabulous lunch at Chauncy! We’ve been going to Chauncy since it opened and it never disappoints. The service is consistently excellent and the seasonal menus are a gastronomic delight. The wine pairings are a great idea and have certainly expanded my wine experience. From the moment you arrive at the lovely Heritage building, walk past the large gardens brimming with flowers and seasonal veggies, into the warm, friendly atmosphere you know it’s going to be a wonderful few hours. Heathcote is very lucky to have this 2 hatted gem, thank-you Tess and Louis!!

I'm almost scared to share this as it will become impossible to get in again! Absolutely fabulous from start to finish, the food was just perfect and the wine list is excellent. The gorgeous restoration of Chauncy just adds to the experience, its a lovely spot to spend an afternoon. We were amazed at the quality of the food coming from Louis's kitchen and Tess runs the front of house just perfectly and her wine knowledge was a delight! We have already booked our return - just what Heathcote needed!

Had a lovely long lunch here with friends in October. Tess was spectacular and was so generous with her wine knowledge and cellar! She even accommodated my husband and baby who decided to join halfway through the meal! Truly the best dining experience- thank you Louis & Tess!

An experience without equal in Heathcote, where a such restaurant was needed. Minimalist design in a historic building that brings you back to France, with a lovely French Bistro vibe. And for once, yes I'm speaking about Bistro. Simple recipes perfectly executed, with fresh local produce, and an exceptional wine list with a blend of Australian and European wines. If you feel lost choosing a wine, Tessa will have the right and perfect advice to help you find the one to pair with your food.
To summarise, a place that not only Heathcote needed, but that all Australia needed for a long time!! Thank you Tessa and Louis for giving French food the shake up it needed.

This is the second time I have dined at Chauncy. The first was soon after they opened so I was interested to see how they have settled in. This restaurant is one of the rare ones, where both the service and food are first class. The menu was seasonal, fresh and delicious with many ingredients coming from the extensive garden outside. The service was attentive, but not suffocating, full of those wonderful touches, where more bread is brought without asking and they have noted that we had been there before years ago. The wine menu is sublime, beautifully matched to the food, with half glasses and a tasting amount for the driver, so they could still taste the wine, it drive safely. I highly recommend Chauncy and will continue to return.

A chance to escape to Provence without leaving the country.
Focus on fesh food produced by the garden, and everything was a tasty delight. Service was exceptional, and the venue was so beautiful 😍
