Oasis by the River Restaurant & Bar

The food here was totally delicious. We started with the rosemary and sea salt pull apart which was fresh from the oven and disappeared in minutes. For mains, we went for the special (Barra and a beer for $27.50) and the fish curry. Everything was amazingly tasty. The curry doesn't come with anything but is great as it is. For dessert, we had the baked cheesecake which was spot on. The wine is very reasonably priced. Service was great and a high chair was available for our little one. Would highly recommend this place.

A friend and I decided to try Oasis by the River for a lazy breakfast while in North Haven. To say it was worth it is an understatement. We both loved the atmosphere, friendly service, and the quality of the food and chef. Top notch.

We had the pancakes and coffee and the quantity was more than acceptable. The food was fantastic. The chef told us we wouldn't want lunch and he was right.

Talking with the chef was a delight. He seeks out local, good quality ingredients to ensure that the starting point for every dish is excellent produce. This is a dining experience rather than a simple cafe.

If you're in the Laurieton/Haven region this is a highlight worth checking out.

Yesterday my party of three enjoyed a delicious meal at Oasis by the River. Our table was at the open front picture window, and it was lovely to sit and enjoy the view. Service was excellent. We all ordered the fish of the day, blue eyed cod, and it was done perfectly. The battered chips that came with it were a treat. Loved the desserts. Thank you.

Beautiful spot opposite the camden river. Always a must to visit when im there on holidays. This morning i had the smoked salmon eggs benedict with sweet roasted capsicum. One of the tastiest eggs benedict i have had in a long time. Compliments to the chef and the staff at Oasis by the River.

Best Seafood Platter we have had in a long time. Well worth the cost. Service excellent, staff friendly and attentive.

Ive live 30 KMs from the Oasis Cafe and I've been there 3 times since father's Day 2020. Every taste sensation is on the breakfast menu with filtered river views to enjoy whilst eating. The Al la Carte dinner menu has variety and I would recommend the lamb rump. The staff are friendly and helpful and the Chef has shown willingness to cater for special needs. Again in daylight saving time the river views add atmosphere to the occasion.

Great food and excellent portions at reasonable prices. Pleasant outlook over the river and plenty of parking available on the street and car park. The fish was not overly battered which was excited. The service was fantastic and the waitress was always attentive to the customers. Nice and cosy decide makes a pleasant experience.

My friend & I went there for an early Christmas get together. We had a seafood platter & a chicken schnitzel. Absolutely amazing!

Had an excellent meal, the Sunday special. Best Barrumundi fish dish I have had, cooked to perfection by the Chef.
Lovely table staff great restaurant. Also prices were very reasonable for the quality of the menu.

Cafe layout & vibe. Very Good. Mid size cafe by the water in small nth coast suburb. Friendly people mostly on holiday. Relaxing.
Service. Brendon the head chef is always available to have a chat about the food & area. Helpful & polite. I've only ever had breakfast here & the table service was good 3 times out of 3.
Food. My wife & myself have tried 3 to 6 breakfast options on the menu since we have been visiting & each time they have been outstanding. I don't go anywhere else for breakfast when i'm up there from Sydney. I've seen the menu options for lunch & dinner & they look great but not tried them. But i can't wait till we do.
Price. Very reasonable. I've been able to have 2 breakfast meals, a large coffee & a glass of juice & only had to pay around $40 or just under. That was for 2 people.
Value for Money 5/5. The portions of the breakfasts vs value are very good. The meals are very generous in size. We leave always full.

Summary: I would recommend this cafe to try. I've read some poor reviews & feel very sorry for those people who did not have a good experience. I've been here 3 times & always had a great meal, nice coffee & chat with the chef. I'm lucky i guess that I have had consistent good service & food. I'm taking time out to post this highly positive review because i believe this cafe deserves one. Brendon also off the menu made me some poached caramelized pears. No issue at all. Very nice they were too.

Just on the road travelling and needed some breakfast on the way through north haven. Stopped at Oasis On the River. That was the best breakfast we have had. The ham, cheese tomato omelette was the best I have had and my hubby couldn’t stop raving about the 3 eggs and bacon. Really yummy. Service was friendly and quick too.

A great experience at the Oasis, friendly manner, welcoming and the food was amazing. The chef Brendan delivered me a burger that could not keep me silent. Obviously using the best and freshest produce available to him. Congratulations to Brendan and his team, now I have to try all your burger's.

Goes up there with the best meal I have had. Delicious fresh and the veges were to die for. Chef working extremely hard in the kitchen together with his offsider to put out a quality meal. Staff friendly and efficient without being pompous. Thoroughly enjoyable and one for the memory journal.

Magic breakfast. Had the mushrooms and haloumi. They made a special meal for my 5yr old as they weren’t busy but I’m sure they’d bend over backwards when possible. Food was top quality produce with real Australian bacon cooked perfectly. Just crispy enough! Always wonderful to eat food that people take pride making and pay attention to detail. Will go again for sure.

This is my favourite restaurant together with my favourite chef, Brendan. An innovative chef with a passion for his work and patrons. I have never been disappointed with a meal or the price. Brendan and staff offer courtesy with a warm welcome always.

Absolutely Delicious!!! Beautiful fresh seafood in the dishes!!! Great service!!! Kids eat free on a wednesday....Perfect!... even the cheesy garlic bread was fresh, unique and special...dessert was amazing!!! Well Done very nice, classy and flavorsome!!! Thank you Brendan 😊😊😊😊

Just had the most awesome food, husband had the grilled snapper best ever, I had surf n turf amazed at the quality of steak and the seafood on top was amazing,the rosemary and salt pull apart bread was amazing, so glad we made the choice to come here. Service was impeccable,and friendly, Well done will be back again ,highly recommend.

Took Mum to Oasis by the River for dinner for Mothers Day . Absolutely wonderful food and service.

This place is on the expensive side but worth every dollar.

Highly recommend the seafood platter as Main and Italian Meringue for dessert.
