I noticed a lot of reviews complaining about the 10% weekend surcharge and an eftpos charge but that’s how you pay decent wages and make any money in small business. It’s hard work ffs. Stop whining everyone.

Great place with excellent food and service. The team took the time to talk through the menu and help with selections. Eggs are great as are the smoothies. It's just as nice inside and out with a courtyard and street side seating. Definitely a place to return to.

We recently enjoyed brunch at Tall Timber on Commercial Road in Prahran, and must say it was an absolutely sensational experience from start to finish.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the all-day breakfast menu. The options were diverse and incredibly tempting, making it quite challenging to choose just a couple of dishes.

We chose Shakshuka and Sauteed Cauliflower. Both dishes were expertly prepared and presented with an artful attention to detail. The Shakshuka was a delightful medley of flavours, with perfectly poached eggs nestled in a rich tomato and capsicum sauce. The Sauteed Cauliflower was a pleasant surprise, with its unique blend of textures and ingredients that packed a punch. It's evident the chefs at Tall Timber have a mastery of flavours and know how to create dishes that leave a lasting impression.

We indulged in the La Reserva De Tierra Bio Organic coffee which were on point, providing the perfect accompaniment to our brunch. Tall Timber's commitment to sourcing high-quality coffee beans truly shines through.

This is a great place for the brunch basics you'd expect in Melbourne: eggs benedict, smashed avo toast, bircher oats, etc. It's reliably good. Coffee is always excellent and it's also a great place if you have a doggo, they have heaps of outdoor space.

Used to come here a lot pre-covid when I lived in the area. I had breakfast again this morning and still as good as always, maybe even better! I went for the smoked trout, it was beautiful!! Great coffee and service too. Thank you for the great experience!

Tall Timbre has impressed me on several fronts. The restaurant sports a light aesthetic that calms the senses upon first glance. It is the perfect backdrop to bring out the colour and form of the elegantly prepared dishes that are competitively priced. My orders were brought out by the beautiful Ella, Daniel and Leah marvelously but the star waitress was Rafa (pronouced Half-ah). Her radiant smile and beaming personality that comes off so genuine and endearing whisked me and my company away as we ordered and received such delicious food.

The smashed avo dish shines as my favourite as I enjoyed the beetroot paste that packed the perfect tang.and flavour to the avocado. The smashed pumpkin was deliciously spiced and provides an adventurous and viable alternative to the smashed avo. The Eggs Benedict however gets special mention for its excellent preparation and taste, very homely and scrumptious to the bite.

Words cannot describe my delight to have experienced this amazing breakfast and brunch restaurant. Try it for yourself and be a bit daring.

FOOD: I ordered the Timber Folded Eggs because it’s super famous and it was good but the egg itself was slightly flavourless? I’m not sure if it wasn’t seasoned alot because it was meant to go with the goats cheese but the eggs with the goats cheese was absolutely magnificent! The bread was also toasted really well and had some hints of nuts so it was a super pleasant surprise and the goats cheese was so fresh and delicious!

Love the palatable french toast and the coffee especially the with the humble ambience. The service was great as well as the price. No rush, no hype, just a great local eatery.

There are several parking area in front of the cafe, and some on the side of it. I would say this place is best for breakfast and brunch without kids.

Went here for the first time on the weekend and will definitely be back. The food was fantastic and the staff were all terrific at making sure nothing was too much trouble. The coffee was top notch and the different seating areas offered great choice in atmosphere depending on how you're feeling. Plus! Dog friendly which is always nice

Tall Timber was, thankfully, the right one to bring-in new journey with beautiful coffee, warm spiced beef salad and Morocco spiced chicken .

Everything on plate was fresh and beautifully cooked. Loved every bit of it.

Service was pretty slow, to an extent that our salad.was served cold..Of course, the attendant was sweet enough to apologise and we were fine...Thus no deduction of ratings.

Vegans and vegetarians have decent choice bit the menu is quite small.

We also did a takeaway of Orange and Coconut Muffin and Sandwich Cookies stuffed with honey cream.

The honey cream was quite sweet but otherwise crumbly and chewy. The muffin was amazing tough.

Definitely returning.

Strawberry milkshake was soooo good and the eggs Benedict delicious!! Our new fav brunch place no wonder why its always packed especially during the weekends. There’s a public holiday and weekend charge which I dont really like but the food and the design of the cafe is so nice that I’m happy to look pass it haha

Cute cafe with all day brunch/lunch menu. Coffee is decent. Atmosphere is amazing. Seating is comfortable and cozy. Food is above average and we'll priced and proportioned. Would definitely be back.

I love the atmosphere of Tall Timber. Fantastic coffee. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious. It is close to a tram stop with lots of off street parking in the streer next to it. They allow most delivery services so it's perfect for a hangover Sunday morning brunch at home too!
I highly recommend the breakfast board, got a bit of everything most people love about brunch, OJ, bircher, poached egg and smash avo. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic service and a most creative tasty dish! Honestly, some of the best flavours I’ve eaten out recently. I will definitely travel to come back here.

A cut above when it comes to Melbourne breakfasts. True care went into our two dishes, a Warm Chicken Salad and Shakshooka.

Excellent coffee and friendly service. I haven’t tried the food lately but the coffee (latte) was presented immaculately this time and the character of the coffee is somewhat soft and aromatic but by no means weak.
