Rock Salt Restaurant

Had a superb time here for dinner on a Saturday night. The entire experience was great. For food, had the Sourdough with Roasted Brie and Peppered Honey for starters which was an interesting flavour combination with the honey, but tasty nonetheless. It would have been much better with a few more pieces of bread, as the amount of Brie given would be enjoyed better if so.

The entree we tried was the Five Spice Crispy Duck Leg with pancakes. This was a great take on Peking duck rolls. The meat fell away at the bone and was very easy to peel away using a fork. It was fun to roll your own and use hands to enjoy this dish.

For mains we had the Roast Lamb Rump and Charred Black Eye Angus Fillet. The lamb itself was quite nice, but the presentation could’ve been a bit more pleasant. Angus fillet was fantastic though, cooked at a perfect medium rare.

The staff were very friendly and had a theme of older distinguished gentlemen who made us feel welcomed and at home while having a smart casual vibe. Great overall experience.

The food was absolutely divine !!! We shared entree’s - the oysters (finger lime was our favourite), tempura moreton bay bug and moreton bay bug ravioli. We then had for mains fish of the day, steak and chicken and everyone loved their dish. Every dish was cooked to perfection, the flavours were perfect and the seafood was outstanding!!!

The food here is delicious!!! The tastiest meal we had during our stay in Noosa! Would definitely return to enjoy their food again :-)

Wow! We had a fabulous dinner here last night. It was so nice to be in a restaurant with great food, service and atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious - everything that was meant to be crisp was crisp and that which was meant to sumptuous and tender was sumptuous and tender. The service was professional and the open kitchen atmosphere was calm and a pleasure to witness. And to top it off, paying the bill felt like paying for something I was really happy to pay for. Thankyou!

First time I ate pork which was perfectly cooked crackle on side yuuum, on delicious cabbage. Hubby had the fish of the day. Perfect!!! Sweets Grand Marnier mousse wow. Second time I had roast duck. Somewhat disappointing. Very tough. If you love duck give this one a miss. Anything else on the menu go for it. Overall great service delicious food. Enjoy.

Incredible food with lovely staff. Our ravioli & eye fillets were cooked to perfection.

We had dinner here last night with friends and our adult children and it was amazing. Food was exceptional and well priced by comparison to many other restaurants in Noosa and surrounds. A favourite date night restaurant - the food is always outstanding. Its an intimate venue overlooking parkland.

I recommend the Five Spice Crisp Duckleg Mandarin pancakes, Moreton Bay ravioli and the Oven Roasted Brie with panfried olives, capers, peppered honey and sourdough is DREAMY!

We have just had a meal at this beautiful place. The food was amazing and the service was just wonderful. We was met with a lovely welcome, a lovely table and a great waiter who was just wonderful. We had a splendid bottle of red wine that was delicious. Thank you for a lovely night.

We tried to have the chargrilled octapus , owner informed us they were hard to catch lol so after a lot of convincing we had the goldband snapper which was awesome thanx guys come salmon fishing in Canada one day

Wow! Idyllic location on the water. Sit outside if you can. An oasis of serenity with great wines, cocktails and of course lovely food. Make sure you book it is rightly very popular. We had the best night. So good in fact that I didn’t take any food photos just the views.

Recommend sitting outside if you can. Food is amazing, and the fact it is BYO wine makes it even more fun and enjoyable. I especially loved the Morten Bay bug ravioli, definitely a highlight. The wagyu rump was also delicious. If you're in Noosa, don't miss this.

We travelled over 10,000 miles from the UK to visit our family, but the decision to have dinner at the Rock Salt Restaurant, Noosa was well worth the journey in its own right!! We have been privileged during our lives, having eaten in the restaurants at The Waldorf New York, the Dorchester, Savoy and Ritz hotels, London, and Raffles Hotel, Singapore. The food and service at the Rock Salt Restaurant, Noosa, Sunshine Coast , Australia was on a par with all those. Thank you for a great meal and evening. I particularly loved the oysters. What a steak!!!!!! Black Angus eye fillet…. Absolutely stunning!! Everything was amazingly cooked to perfection. Flavours meld together beautifully, nothing too overpowering, just beautifully balanced. Service was impeccable and all the food arrived hot and fresh. Haven’t been for years and the consistency is still top notch. Worth every penny for such a joyous experience. Thank you 🙏

My favourite Restaurant, when I visit Noosa. Beautifully prepared meals, and absolutely delicious 😋. The Waiters are very efficient and friendly, as always. Amazing dining experience. My only disappointment was, I was too full to order my favourite dessert. ❤

Please don’t retire, the staff and kitchen legends are always over the top.

We enjoyed a delicious meal with fabulous service. Refreshingly good hospitality from our waiter Johnny, with a great Chianti 🍷and fresh Asian infusion food to match. We loved it all the curry, the duck pancakes, ribs and moreton bay bugs ❤ We finished our meal with the yummiest mango 🥭 creme brûlée and decadent chocolate brownie with moorishhhh Jamaican rum and raisins ice cream 🍨

Rock Salt is a wonderful dining experience that, in over ten year's has never let us down.
The quality of the food is outstanding, and the service is friendly but unobtrusive.
They also allow BYO for those of us that cellar our own wine and don't appreciate 400% mark up on cheap wine. Happy to pay corkage.
I would recommend Rock Salt to anyone.

Stewart the chef and staff are amazing , we have grown to know the staff as we loved the food so much it became our regular . food is spot on every time no matter what you're craving its hard to deviate from your go too ....but when you do its first class . not sure what the magic is .....but it must start right from supplier to prep to the cooking and then the service . well done guys I'm sure its not easy constantly dishing up such consistency every time ! its no surprise you have such a dedicated local following .
