Beautiful bridge, below the bridge you will see cobblestone work. The bridge is amazing to walk across, please be careful as there are no safety rails or warnings.

Excellent to see. Driving in on a single lane dirt road, in the "middle of nowhere" you're not sure what to expect. It's great.
You can turn around at the end of the road too (we were towing a trailer and had no problem)

A beautiful bridge, also known as the upside down bridge, bellow the bridge is a large section of what looks like lava left over from a volcano 😇

It's cool to walk and sit on the bridge to feel the flow of the wind and time.

Ideraway Creek Railway Bridge is a heritage-listed railway bridge The Ideraway Creek bridge is one of the most unusual bridges in Australia. The deck-type pin-jointed fishbelly truss main span is unique in Australia. It is the only bridge of its type in Queensland and therefore the longest span of its type in Queensland. It demonstrates the economic re-use of part of the erection truss used to build the Burdekin River Rail Bridge at Macrossan between Townsville and Charters Towers opened in 1899. The complete truss was 250 feet (76 m) long whereas the Ideraway Creek bridge uses only 150 feet (46 m) of the span. The pinned construction and multiple members of the truss were originally designed for rapid assembly and disassembly.

Very interesting old bridge you can only get to one way. Don't follow Google shortcut if takes you to someone's house.

Terrific spot to visit. Stop by the Gayndah Heritage Railway station for directions and more history on rail bridges

Amazing once we found it. Not very well sign posted. Had to guess which way to go at times. Larger signage would help too.

A fascinating historical bridge. But it's fenced off and difficult to get close to it. If you're skinny, you can sneak through. Very uneven ground, so not easy access for the elderly.
GPS maps will get you there and the road is sealed until the last few 100ms.

It's a nice stop, not far off the highway. 4/5 and not 5 because the best photo spots are fenced off.
