Two day ride from Yarraman back to Wulkarakka. Overnight stay in Toogoolawah. Great ride for a reasonable fit person.

A lovely Rail Trail to ride, with or without a mountain bike. The scenery is beautiful and you can enjoy cows, horses, kangaroos and magpies out and about. Refreshments are available at many of the small towns along the route, plus accomodation. I can highly recommend riding this. I’ve been riding it for ten years and I’m not tired of it yet!

161km from Yarraman to Wulkuraka Trail Head. Note that the Wulkuraka Trail Head is 950m away from the Wulkuraka Train Station. Mostly flat with some traversal of gullies as you cannot use most of the old bridges. Yarraman to Linville is well treed & has the biggest elevation drop. Linville to Lowood has lots of grazing land and is quite open. Lowood to Wulkuraka has more trees. The trail is mostly good quality gravel, dirt tracks and has some smooth concrete through towns.

A lot of work has gone into the trail since I last did it 8 years ago. The improved crossings at the old bridge locations and cattle grids at each fence line are great. The best section for me is Yarraman down to Linville.

The longest rail trail in Australia. Just epic! Ride it on bicycle or horseback, or walk it. Stay at the towns along the way. B&B or camp it. 161km end to end it's a "must do" thing. Put it on your bucket list.

A great historical pathway, once journeyed by many on the steam engine trains that serviced many country areas. Now, reinvented for walking and mountain bike riding the long gentle grades of the train lines have left us with jouneys for other purposes...rest...relaxation, exercise and adventure...The rail trails criss cross the ancient landscape of our First Nations Peoples, who for generations walked, lived and cared for the land we now call Australia.

BVRT is in excellent condition. I truly enjoyed my ride of the whole trial return, as well as doing highlights again.

This is a awesome trail that is extremely well maintained, all the facilities are clean and tidy and the new showers at Benarkin are so good, this is a credit to everyone involved, it is great to have the free campsites that means you can spend the money saved to support the local businesses and locals selling products.

Love riding the BVRT - whether the full length or just the exciting bit between Yarraman and Linville.

I was the support crew on the trail from Yarraman to Linville. The locals at Yarraman were so friendly and the Old Church gallery outside of Linvelle had an amazing selection of local artists. Definitely a do again experience

A group of 18 Fraser Coast BUGS riders spent the week in Blackbutt and Esk enjoying riding the trails. We had great a time experiencing some the improvement that have been made since our last visit in November. We would recommend the trsils to all level if riders.
