Unfortunately my husband and I had to cancel our Thorsborne Trail adventure at last minute. Brad was extremely understanding and offered a refund which we were forever grateful for. We will definitely be booking our transfers with Brad when we next get a chance.

Hinchinbrook Island Cruises service is outstanding! I would recommend it anytime. Brad is a very knowledgeable, kind and communicative guy and you can always rely on his services.

I spent a few days back in May of 2022 hiking part of the famous Thornsborne Trail and climbed Mount Bowen through the Warawilla Creek.

Brad was quite flexible to come pick me up straight on the Little Ramsey Beach at low tide and drop me off in Lucinda, even though, initially, I embarked from Cardwell. On top of that, he rewarded me with a beer to celebrate my achievement to have climbed Mount Bowen.

Brad's friendly service for the Thorsborne Trail transfer was way beyond expectations. I was expecting to be dropped off and picked up and that was it. Instead he provided valuable advice on where to camp, times, what to see, info on tides, where to get phone service, maps, tour commentary and a surprise extra when we got back on the boat. His instructions were clear, professional and non-patronising. Highly recommend.

Brad is your man for all things Hinchinbrook. We had some questionable weather for our trip with heavy rains and storms on the forecast. Brad expressed his concerns and was explicit and clear with his concerns for walkers and ensuring the country is continued to be treated with respect. He was never pushy about us pulling the pin and seemed to understand the logistics that went into planning a once in a lifetime trip in another state, but ensured we were fully informed and understood the reality of heavy wind and cloud conditions making east coast extractions via boat or heli impossible, while also providing the information we needed to ensure we could safely plan and put in contingencies. Long story short even with less than ideal weather it is was still some of the most spectacular country I've had the privilege to pass through with the walk itself being absolutely sensational. Brad meeting us at the end with a cold xxxx and croc sighting on the way in was the icing on the cake. This guy absolutely loves and cares for this waterway and wants you to too.

Can't rate Brad highly enough - he is the man you want running the logistics for your Thorsborne Trail hike. Relaxed but highly knowledgable (from his time as a ranger looking after the island), he will give you all the information you need to make sure you are prepared for your hike, putting at ease any concerns about creek crossings, tides, and crocodiles! Plus ice cold beers in the esky once you hop on board that will really hit the spot after 4 days of hiking!

Brad is bloody legend! Perfect service. Even came out late the day before our scheduled pickup and saved us from a cold and wet final night. Got some extra info about the area along the way and even had some drinks in the esky on pickup. We'll be back to enjoy Hinchinbrook again. Thanks Brad!!!

Brad, the owner of Hinchinbrook Island Cruises, offers a very high quality transfer experience. He is a good communicator, gave an excellent saftey induction and what expect on the trail. His boat is very safe, fast, stable and well maintained. Furthermore, he is super friendly and is happy to share his knowledge.

We used Hinchinbrook Island Cruises for our Thorsborne Trail hike. Brad collected my friend and I from Cardwell. On the way to the island he gave us some insight and knowledge of the local area on the way. Upon arrival at the island he gave us further useful information about the island, including water points, look outs and geography of the area.
On the return trip we were lucky enough to see some crocodiles, dolphins and wide variety of birdlife.
Brad even pointed out some interesting facts about nearby Lucinda and information about some wreckage from WW2. In addition, he even had cold drink for us!
Brad is a very experienced and knowledgeable operator. I would highly recommend his services from all your Hinchinbrook Island tours.

I recently traveled with Brad to and from Hinchinbrook lsland, he was on time, polite and friendly and provided a heap of great information about the trail as he was a member of Qld parks and wildlife service, I was able to hire an IRB for safety from him as well . On return to Cardwell l lost one of my walking poles, I let Brad know and he found it, I was able to pick it up a few days later. Really appreciated his help. We just completed the Thornsborne Trail and Brad at Hinchenbrook Island Cruises made the trip that little bit extra special. He runs a great service, professional, timely and full of real experience and advice - he also shared really interesting conservation information about the island. Thank you to Brad for getting us to and from Hinchinbrook Island. Brad had an encyclopedic knowledge of the island, both its history and natural environment, and his passion for Hinchinbrook was clear. He looked after our luggage during our hike and on the boat ride over he gave us a thorough briefing about the walk. On our final day Brad met us with cold drinks which were greatly appreciated!! We highly recommend going with Brad if you are planning to walk the Thosborne trail.

Brad is a deadset legend! He picked up and dropped a group of 6 of us to Hinchinbrook Island and was extremely knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and was happy to answer any additional questions we had regarding the hike and island. Brad was incredibly accommodating, informative, and funny! I caught a bus from Cairns to Cardwell (and back), and Brad worked with me to line up transport around the bus schedule. He was also happy to store my spare luggage while I was on the island. The Hinchinbrook Island Cruises web store also sells dehydrated meals and fuel which makes for one less detail to sort out. Highly recommended!

Brad was a great beginning and end to our adventure on Hinchinbrook Island. His knowledge of the island and area was super helpful and he made sure we navigated the island safety. Would 100% recommend to friends and family. He also brought icy cold soda for our ride home.

Brad and his wife Lyn made our trip so easy and ran so smoothly. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the island and the Thorsborne trail, tide times, side trails and the entire process from booking to both dropoff and pick up ran without a hitch. I am already planning to book with them again when I come back next year

I've rarely come across a tour operator that's more professional, honest, knowledgeable and hospitable.

Brads knowledge on the island is top notch.
As he's been a ranger in the area, expect some quality information on the island.
He's been a true gentleman to deal with during our booking, during the ride over to the island and on the way back.
He was already been very flexible with our pick up time.
As we had some heavy rain in the last night, being the caring person he is, without any communication (since there is no service), he assumed we'd head back early and he waited for us an hour before our scheduled departure time.

I can't recommend him enough.

Hinchinbrook island cruises delivered absolutely everything we needed and worked with us to plan our day trail run of Hinchinbrook island. We couldn’t have had better service and a better experience with them. Our captain Brad went above and beyond to not only ferry us across but fill us with information about the island and even met us at the end of our run with some beers 🍻
