Cardwell @ the Beach (Lyndock Motel & Bottlemart)

Loved it. Staff were fabulous, Thai food was amazing. We stopped randomly on our bike and what a gem, we will be staying there again. Ticked every box for us, I even got special parking for security for my bike. Glad we stopped it made our day. The bakery in town wasn’t bad either 😍

Many rooms to choose from here! Cardwell is a lovely area for peace and quiet and getting back to nature.
The hotel has a pool, a restaurant and a bottle shop on site.
Beds are comfortable and it's a lovely quiet area. Would 100% recommend!

Rooms are so clean, ample parking space, beautiful restaurant with a bar. Mr.John was such a hospitable & humble person i’ve ever met in my life, we had a long chat in the bar while enjoying my fresh fish & chips & the fish was so fresh & food was so great, also I should definitely mention the guy who worked in the bottlemart was such a nice person & I’ve introduced them both to a Gin & ginger ale & I’m sure they both love it.. thanks again for the wonderful hospitality 🙏

We have started staying here over anywhere else in Cardwell when passing through (weekly at the moment), well priced, clean affordable rooms, easy well priced bottleshop on-site, IGA across the road, but most of all, the food! (Oh, the staff are tops aswell) It is hands down the best food we have found in town! Love the Porkribs, steak, all the Thai dishes and looking forward to having a pizza (from what I've seen they won't disappoint) so if looking to stay in Cardwell give this place and the dining a crack.

On a quiet Saturday night in Cardwell’s off season, we ventured to the hotel motel for dinner. We were welcomed with a smile and had a beautiful meal. Service was impeccable, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was top notch. I would recommend to anyone staying or passing through Cardwell. Beautiful!!!

Owners and staff are lovely. Rooms are clean, stylish and comfortable. If you're staying, don't bother going out to eat, the food is great. Try the Asian cities you won't be disappointed

This motel was very comfortable and had everything I needed. It was a great place to stay with my dogs. You could walk across the road to the IGA and the area was close to the sea which meant there were some lovely places to go for a walk. The person who checked me in was super friendly and chipper which is always nice after a long drive.

Yep, very friendly, accommodating hosts, we turned up in school hols for a feed because the restaurant down the road where we actually stayed was booked out. Yasi people were exceptionally good, found a table for us and we were served very quickly with a minimum of fuss. Food was great, not a huge selection but, who cares, all bases were covered. I had an excellent steak, my wife had the coral trout. The salad was fresh and tasty, all you can ask for. The owners are very genuine, hard working folk and I can happily give a five star review for this experience. I wish them well.

Typical motel rooms with your car conveniently at the door @ most rooms. Room is very clean. Coin washer and dryer. Nice common kitchen area. Best bed maker evverrr is there

Great place to stay in Cardwell. We had a family room, clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The staff are all friendly. The pool looks amazing and spotless, just a bit chilly to use on our trip.

The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was extremely comfortable. The food was cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great as is the location. I highly recommend this motel. I will definitely be back!!

What a fantastic stay. Personable and hospitable service with rooms that are clean with lots of personal touches. Restaurant had a lovely vibe with good food and wine list. Pet friendly rooms, comfy beds, lots of hot water and showers with great pressure. Beautiful pool area and a special "kitchen room" for anything else you need. I'm sure we will be back!

Awesome overnight stay !
We would probably have stayed longer if we weren't on our way north for appointments! We have family in Cardwell but couldn't have our dog at their place so opted for this "pet friendly" option. Of the whole trip from the Gold Coast to Cairns where we had to stay overnight, you guys were so well prepared and accommodating! A bed, bowl and toy waiting for our furry pal !?! So cute !! Haha
The rooms were clean and well set out, you could hardly hear noise outside from the pub or main road and even the rooms next door we couldn't hear a peep from ! Travelling with 3 kids and a dog I didn't feel like we were all totally on top of each other and we all had a good splash in the pool before checking out in the morning!
Next time will definitely head to the restaurant for food as I've heard it great too ! We opted for a walk up the road and breakfast at a cafe across from the jetty and it was a perfect distance for the young kids to just make it to on a cool muggy morning :)
Great location, great service and lovely staff ! We will be back to stay again !
