Great spot for a cocktail. Hamish was a legend and whipped me an espresso martini with tequila upon request. Definitely pop in there for drink, some food and a yarn.

Best little saloon around! Food is outstanding (we had the buffalo chicken, southern fried chicken and cajun fries). Great selection of beers and cocktails (we were there for happy hour). Service was excellent! Friendly and attentive waiter and barman, food arrived piping hot and fresh. Music is eclectic and cool (Ozzie, The Doors, Yardbirds, Stones) Everything was perfect. Great spot right on Greville street. This place is an absolute gem 😍

Best staff I’ve encountered - Tom and Ebony make this place what it is. They are professional, friendly and they make the best drinks I’ve had anywhere outside of the CBD.
Always welcoming, always excited to see us we visit minimum 2-3 times a week and will continue to do so.

This cozy little hive is always a winner, boasting great service and atmosphere. Ebony and Tom and the dream team here at White Oaks, delivering great service, delicious drinks and always good banter. It’s no surprise the bar stools are never cold here!

This American style dining and bar place might be small in space but they make it up with an extensive selection of alcohols and delicious food. I got to try a rootbeer flavoured beer which is so good. The gumbo is comforting, peppery and full of flavours. Both boneless chicken dishes are juicy and the dipping sauces are delightful.

White Oaks is one of my favourite locals - I go all the time for drinks and if I’m feeling peckish, I always get either one of the chickens, mac and cheese, the chimichanga or ribs. The bartenders are great and really know how to make a mean drink, I love getting a pina colada or the thyme and apricot sour.

This Saloon bar is a place of meeting, of sharing with people from all around the world. Apart from having passionate managers, the location is ideal, a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. This place is great. Unpretentious, tasty BBQ, and a great whisky/beer selection. Devils on horseback, buffalo chicken, and ribs are excellent.

Absolutely stunning venue! Staff are friendly, drinks are tasty af, and food was absolutely balls to the wall amazing as anything! We had the fries (with guac and salsa I believe), the chicken tacos, the prawn tacos, the chilli mac 'n' cheese, and the star of the show, the fried green tomato sliders!
I give this place a solid 5/7, the perfect score.

Enjoyed drinks and dinner here. Highlights were the buffalo chicken, coffee rub steak and cornbread. Venue was quite cold though, wish they’d turned the heaters on, everyone was wearing their jackets still.

The bar tender or the only person the shop was amazing! He got all our food right and make our drinks! Omg I did not know this place exists. My fav is the whisky sour and the sliders !!! Gonna be back just for drinks and happy hour! Thumbs up .oh and the fries is yummy Hahahha

Awesome experience here- found it right after another place fell flat in service, and thank goodness! White Oaks was much more inviting, staff was super friendly and welcoming right from the first step in the door. Johnny Cash followed by all the right Blues- great feel.

We didn't even realize it was "American" food inspired until we sat down- and being an American in Melbourne, this place has the Southern Comfort style right on point with their menu. Buffalo chicken- yes please. Chili Mac- recommend. Shrimp sliders- yuuum (like a shrimp taco in slider form). Australian made BBQ sauces (in the form of a Carolina hot, a Texas hickory, and a Louisiana Southern)... about to drink them. I'm writing as I eat.

Plus... $20 for an amazing Boilermaker pairing (yum; I hadn't found a whiskey bar here that I liked yet- and now that box is checked!). The menu of whiskey is robust and we'll sectioned to find what you like.

We're coming back tomorrow 😆... Seriously.

Amazing cocktails, especially American Style ones. The BBQ Smoked Sazerac cocktail is an absolute winner. Although all were good we tried. Staff are also very friendly. Will definitely be back here when visiting Melbourne next

What a lovely spot for lunch and drinks. Variety of beer to choose from. Staff are very friendly, very accommodating with excellent service too. Pork slider is super yum!

If you're after an American BBQ and whiskey, look no further than White Oaks Saloon! The ribs melt in your mouth, and the Jack Daniels sauce complements the steak. Will be heading back today try the crab cakes and sliders next.

Delicious! Cocktails were great, though took a little while and arrived at the same time as our food. Also plenty of alternative options for vegetarians, you definitely won't miss out on flavour.
Venue itself has a great feel, whether you sit at a table or at the bar.

Nick is a connoisseur of the cocktail. Best whisky sour I’ve had.

I love this place because it’s a 2 min walk home and the staff are awesome!
