My wife & I took a canoeing trip to Double Island which we highly recommend. There is a lot of wildlife to see. Polarised sunglasses are desirable.
We went river drifting with Brad over 5 km inland freshwater - this was an absolute highlight of our visit to Australia & we cannot recommend this highly enough. You need a moderate level of fitness, but it isn't strenuous. Amazing experience - we loved this!

Brad took us on an amazing paddle around Double Island at sunrise this morning - lots of turtles, brekkie on the beach and even into the cave for a look…very professional, knowledgeable and all round decent bloke! By far the best option at Palm Cove! Highly recommend and a highlight of our visit!! Pete, Tina and Ryan

This was such a great tour, Brad was awesome, so easy going and made the whole experience feel comfortable. Would highly recommend if you are wanting to burn off some energy and switch off completely. 10/10

Just went out on the sunrise tour with Brad. We had the opportunity of going around double island and had the best time. The stops on the island were fun and Brad had a really broad knowledge of the area and we felt completely safe in his hands.

Had a fantastic sunrise kayak tour with Brad! Was great to paddle out to Double Island and back and see the island and learn about its history. Was lucky enough to spot some turtles, dolphins, and eagles. Brad was very informative and will not forget my first ever kayak experience!

A perfect way to start any day in Palm Cove, FNQ. We’ve never Kayak’d before, but Brad, the owner was awesome. Calm and reassuring energy, he’s been Kayaking and Diving the areas for many years. We were supplied with stinger suits (just in case) and boots. Brad was an excellent guide and companion for a couple of hours and has probably knows the place like the back of his hand. There’s heaps of wildlife to see Mostly point out by Brad along the way, and we managed to take a few pics while we gently paddled and took in the beauty of the whole area. We totally recommend Palm Cove Watersports, located next to the jetty. We will do another tour with Brad next time we are here.

Best sunrise tour! Brad was an incredibly knowledgeable, authentic host and even gave us stinger suits and boots as he saw some unseasonal jellies! Water was wonderful, views were breathtaking, Double Island tour was great. Will definitely go again next time we're in Palm Cove!

Fantastic local guide, everything you could ask for and more. I visited friends in Cairns and went out to Double Island with Brad in a group of 5. We were provided with local knowledge, a history lesson, and were lucky enough to see some turtles, stingrays, sea birds, and fish which Brad was able to name and give some info on. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun way to start the day!

Great experience with Brad! If I come back will Definitely do it again and recommend this tour to family and friends. We did the sunrise tour! Well worth the money!! Try and choose and sunny day!

We did the sunrise tour with Brad and it was amazing. Weather was looking a bit choppy/windy, but Brad was in constant contact with us to update us with forecasts and ensured it was safe to go out on the water in the morning.

It was an awesome experience overall, Brad was a great guide with amazing local knowledge and it was really cool to see the abandoned resort on Double Island on foot. Highly recommend this experience to anyone on holidays in Cairns/Port Douglas.

Had an awesome time on the turtle and stingray tour from 7-10am. The guide we had was super knowledgeable, kind, and provided clear safety information before getting on the water and clear instructions in the water. We had the opportunity to see turtles popping up from the water, and to explore Double Island on foot. We were able to see bits of the resort and some little sharks! Our guide told some great stories and gave us snacks on the island. We were also given stinger suits and shoes. What stood out to me was that our guide was actively supervising at all times, and no one was left behind. I felt super safe the whole time. When people made mistakes our guide was kind when he corrected the mistakes. I would definitely book again with palm cove watersports.

Highly recommend going on a sunrise kayak tour with Brad! Originally we were going to hire kayaks from him and go ourselves, but in the end decided on a tour and it was SO worth it. Brad was so knowledgeable about the area, spotted us whales, turtles and dolphins! I've never seen whales like that so it was an incredibly special experience. We were the only 2 people on the tour and Brad customised it based on our skill level and what we wanted to see. It felt like a mate taking you out and showing you around. He supplied fresh fruit and OJ for brekkie on an island beach and watched the sunrise and Brad even stayed out for extra time because we were enjoying it so much. Definitely give him a call! Brad is a great guide, full of interesting information about the area and its wildlife. It was an easy paddle around Double Island with many cool surprises!

We enjoyed a kayaking turtle tour to Double Island. Brad is very knowledgeable and easy going. We saw turtles and dolphins which was a treat. Brad is set up by the jetty so it was a nice and relaxing kayak straight out to Haycock island. We got given waterproof bags to keep our phones and belongings if we wanted them with us. Thanks for having us Brad- I have been raving about the tour to everyone!

A great dawn sea kayak tour around Double Island over the reef. Saw a couple of turtles, the sun rise and other good stuff. Brad was really helpful and safety conscious (great for me as a first-timer). He gave lots of useful info on the sea-life, local geology, plants & bush tucker. I highly recommend Brad for a really fun tour.

The guy who owns this place is a legend. We did an early morning sea kayaking tour of Double Island. He showed some nice spots on the island and then some spots where we could sea turtles. What a great morning. If you want a fantastic day and you like challenge, this is a must do.

This tour company is fantastic! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and provide reef shoes and local information. The tours go out to Double Island and they have a double kayaking option. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to see the reef up close.

We had a fabulous time kayaking with Luke and Andy on their Sunrise Turtle Tour. The coral was amazing and we saw turtles, rays and giant clams. We can't wait to go again.
