A Taste of Italy

First time here despite passing by it multiple times. Doesn’t look much from the outside (inside the shopping mall side) but the food is excellent! Service also perfect. We had the Mexican pizza and the seafood pasta. Both were fantastic. The seafood pasta had huge prawns, mussels, squid, fish, octopus. All fresh.

Pizza had just the right amount of chili.

Don’t call this place a Pizza Shop, this is a quality Italian restaurant on par with the best in Melbourne.

We will be back here, frequently.

This place has some absolutely fantastic service and food, far better than what I was expecting being between Domino's and Liquorland. They served us at our table and upsold us with a garlic bread entrée. We ordered the Pasta Pollo E Funghi and the Risotto Pollo E Funghi, along with a glass of Rose wine and the House Cider. The cider ended up being a pear cider that was quite nice and middle of the road for me (not too sweet or sour). Both my partner and I ended up enjoying our food so much, I couldn't wait to tell them. 10/10, thanks for sharing your love with us.

We started by being seated by amazing service and generally just friendly staff. We ordered the garlic bread and it was the best most fresh and hot garlic bread I’ve ever tasted and coming from Sydney we have quite nice places for pizza, however this was another level. Then the pizza came out and was astronomical, I couldn’t believe I was eating something of this quality. If I could I’d give it 6 stars. Absolutely incredible, best meat lovers I’ve ever had and definitely recommend to anyone who drives by!!!!!!!

We rocked up after long flights just as they were closing and yet they offered to cook dinner and served us with charm and such a welcome. I travelled across the country, my friends from Europe and I’ve never experienced such relaxed and welcoming service. Sofia was utterly lovely, and we had a marvellous meal. Couldnt recommend them more highly.

This restaurant serves great food. Staff are very friendly and the choice is quite amazing. Been a few times. It's a must if you're staying at Clifton Beach.

We had the Penne Marinara and the Risotto Pescatora. Both dishes were exceptionally good - we thought the flavours were better than most Italian restaurants on Lygon Street in Melbourne!

Takeout order placed by phone and picked up. Sevice was friendly and food was ready at the time specified. Service was very friendly and a few laughs shared

Fantastic pizza! I’m a Melbourne foodie and love traditional and old school Aussie style pizza. These were the later. We ordered two pizzas , seafood & Mario’s special and a couple of other items. They both had a beautiful thin crispy crust. The toppings were outstanding. The seafood on both consisted of REALLY large pieces. I was impressed! Great value for money, great flavours, and customer service. We will be back next time!

Best seafood pizza ever, and their seafood pasta OMG. I honestly don't know how they don't have more stars. Tried a couple more pizza shops around the area and none even came close to a taste of Italy.

I thought we had tried the best pizza and pasta until we came here absolutely divine.
Even the garlic bread was supurb sorry no photo of pasta we ate it too quick lol

Always a delight to eat here. The food is reasonably priced, authentic , and the staff are friendly. Have been eating here for many years now and it is the best Italian food in Cairns for the price. Pizzas are fantastic and if you eat between 1600 and 1800 you ever get a discount on the large pizzas. Again, GREAT value and good family traditional food.

Always know how to make a good pizza. In-house hand made dough and cakes. Gets my vote. Order the "Rustica Pizza", you won't be disappointed.

Have eaten at A Taste of Italy on 3 occasions and it has always been excellent.
The food is always fresh and the meals are a generous size.
However what makes them stand out is the pizza. A delicious home made base and sauce topped with quality ingredients, not the cheap plastic like stuff you get at franchise pizza places.
An honorable mention to how cold the beers are too!
All in all a great experience, every time.

Was staying 15 minutes out of Port Douglas and found this gem when looking for an easy dinner after a big day out in Cairns - a relief with so many places there and in Port Douglas booked out for dine-in and not doing takeaway. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating and welcomed us to eat in even though they looked fairly busy with takeaway orders. The outdoor dining area was comfortable, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. If we had been staying closer we would probably come here again!

We came from Melbourne to Palm Cove for holiday and we found A taste of Italy as it was close to our resort. We were amazed by their service and the quality and taste of their food. I have been to few fency Italian restaurants in Melbourne but this place's food is much much better than most of them. Also their stuff member and the chef were very freindly people.

A lovely lady named Nikki served me. She did an amazing job & her service was top notch! Delicious food too 😋

I have visited the place on a number of occasions throughout the years. Every single time the food has been fantastic and the service friendly. The menu is full of surprises. The usual pizza and pasta dishes (always perfectly cooked) will not disappoint the traditional customers and the connoisseurs will be delighted to taste some extravagant dishes. In short, I recommend Taste of Italy in Clifton Beach.

Have eaten at this restaurant multiple over the past two years trying both the pizza and the pasta receiving quality meals every time.
I can definitely see why it wont Best Pizza Cairns award! Perfect amount of toppings with the bases freshly made.
Have not been able to fault the pasta with the generous servings and fresh produce you can taste the difference.
Would recommend!!
