Excellent breakfast tacos, with great flavour and tasty jalepeno papers and salsa. Full of filling too.

Cold brew coffee was fantastic, with well extracted flavour but beautiful softness from extraction.

Staff were lovely and engaging.

Great food! I love the healthy options and the different cuisine types (I noted Mexican and French dishes) as well as the classics (Burgers, eggs on toast, granola etc.)
I had the 'healthy start' breakfast bowl and it was so fresh, flavoursome and super filling!
I also had a green tea which was brewed to perfection (not bitter! And not weak)

I like table service, however these guys get you to order via a QR code or at the counter.

We dined at 12:00 on a Friday. There were some tables inside and outside. We elected to sit outside on the footpath. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The drinks range was varied, without being overwhelming. They arrived very quickly and were bitingly cold - outstanding.

The menu was broad and diverse. My beautiful wife ordered the gnocchi and I had a burger. They arrived surprisingly quickly.

The gnocchi was flavoursome and smooth, with the right balance of truffle. My burger was large, without being cumbersome. It was extremely tasty and had the perfect amount of juiciness. The juices ran into my plate, serving as pools of awesomeness for the chips that lingered because the serving was surprisingly huge.

The chips were thin and crispy, with a little bit of chilli. They reminded me that chips could be more than chips, they could be the tickets to inner peace and happiness.

This is the best cafe in Sydney. We go all the time. The breakfast burger is delicious - such a perfect combination of flavours and the corn fritters on the burger are an excellent touch. The fries have a great seasoning that makes you want to eat more and more. The coffee is spot on every time. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The breakfast burger was amazing. Very well presented and very delicious melted in my mouth. Bacon was perfectly done - crispy and juicy. Don't leave reviews often but felt this was worth a compliment.

Oh the chicken burger! This place has quite an extensive menu but I’ve not gone past the chicken burger on quite a few occasions.
Wonderful potato bun and the most succulent chicken, in my opinion it’s up there as the best chicken burger in Sydney with Baby Rey’s.
The chips are a lovely accompaniment with a great seasoning.

Best mushrooms on rye. Fantastic combination of diff mushies not overwhelmed by garlic. Well executed with great coffee. Fabulous

A very lively place for a weekend dinner. Everything was really good. Had the veggie burgers which were a treat with fries. Really good service and polite cheerful staff who manage so well on a busy night as well.

We’ve been having brunch at The General as a Sunday treat and it has always been nothing less than delicious! The Musshies on toast are my favourite, simple, wholesome and earthy. They make the butter themselves, it is so rich and tasty, we always ask for extra.

Always delicious and fresh. The gluten free bread is high quality, and there are lovely touches to the dishes like the spiced caramlised nuts on the smashed avocado. The healthy bowl is also very nice, made with baby Tuscan kale and roast pumpkin. Great coffee selection too, including cold brew. Attentive and uber friendly staff!

Stopped in here for a morning coffee. Coffee was perfectly made. Staff were friendly and Cafe has a great buzz about it. Menu looked sophisticated and had a range of options. Will come back for breakfast or brunch some time.

I can’t not stop talking about how amazing The General is for all events! I had my 30th there and they made it perfect! Myself and my guest had a fabulous time, the food was outstanding and their drinks are magnificent. If your looking for a small venue this will tick all your boxes! If your not looking for a venue for an event but looking for the best cocktails in Sydney head there on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday night! You won’t regret it.

I love that you can see the chefs toiling away in the open kitchen, and when Josh is there, you know the food will have that extra special magic touch. My daughter always gets the bagel with cream cheese because they know how to perfectly toast a bagel! I change it up each time but I've never been disappointed...today I had the granola and it was exquisite...I was only disappointed that I couldn't finish it all. Staff are always helpful. Parking is at a premium but we usually find one on a side street fine.

This is place is a Dulwich Hill staple, I tried something new this time, the breakfast tacos, honestly - I don’t think I’ll go back to my normal corn fritter order. They were so tasty and delicious, I’d prob just ask for extra tortilla next time.

First of all, before anything else, the milk buns deserve a round of applause. Fluffy and soft yet sturdy, their slightly sweet blandness complimented the savoury patty. They held all the yummy contents of the burger together without getting all flat and teeth-sticking squished up like some other burger buns I’ve had.

The cheeseburger was short - a low stack of bun, sauce, cheese, meat, bun - with a good balance between the richness of beef and cheese and the tartness of the Coney Island sauce and pickles.

Being built so close to the plate, it meant the precious juices are more easily captured by the buns (like a strong sponge without breaking up), so you don’t lose juice to the plate. I hadn’t been fully aware of the importance of buns and height until this cheeseburger. Maybe no more towering drippy beef burgers for me!

The chicken royale burger was indeed regal - generous crunchy chunks of juicy well-seasoned thighs stacked like a crown. One of those “when you start, you can’t stop” burger. We will be back for another round!

Had scramble eggs, mushrooms, and truffles, my God, so excellent. Service was spot on our waitress, which was so brilliant that she was so helpful in our ordering , fully recommended .

Amazing cuisine, super tasty and flavourful food. Really amazed by the food and customer service is 10/10. Definitely will be back in no time.
