Lovely place to take the family for the weekend. Great prices and awesome location.
Close to the beach & also the lake. Best of both worlds.

We camped in the Sandbar area - all amenities that are provided were kept clean and well maintained. The park rules of 10pm quiet time works a treat. No hooligans partying all night - very delightful.

Can't fault this location. We will be back.

100% highly recommend Bushlands and Sandbar for a perfect place to camp and chill out. we can’t thank the park manager Evan enough for his hospitality. After getting yo know him and telling our story why we were there for our mates 1year passed away reunion. They offered to make us a trophy from the park to give us as a special moment to to celebrate each year. we gave them 24 hours to make a trophy and they came back the next day with a trophy made out of a wood stump with a club mounted through the middle all minuted on a piece of wood with plaque. This kind gesture will never be forgotten and it for us to use as a momento to bring back every year to celebrate our best mate who passed away in 5 months due to melanoma cancer.

Evan and Scott both made us feel very welcome and would be obliging in anything we did. Golf - just call the number at the tee off and he says tee off and he comes out in his quad bike to take money as you go around, it’s so relaxed and the great Australia way is being kept alive. We’ll be coming back for years to come! It’s our new go to relaxed camping holiday on the mid north coast. Camping, surfing, golfing, beers around a camp fire with your best mates... this is living.

Cheers again for your great spirit and kindness
MUZZA WOULD GO - reunion 2020 onwards

Cheers
Benny

This is the second time we have stayed at Sandbar. People complaining about the amenities they are just fine can't expect 5 star resort amenities they do the job and they are clean. I do recommend sandbar its a perfect location.

Been here loads of times, with and without kids.
Campground is built on sand so expect to have sandy and dirty feet.
Site it pretty well maintained and the main block of showers/ loos are cleaned twice a day which provide loads of hot water and no coins needed, power and water pitches available

Great for Surfing and fishing as well as driving on the beach, talking to someone on the phone can be a test at times but worth the wait.
Make sure you get a spot where you can have a fire and pack the mossie spray...
Over all a great site at good prices, this is what camping should be like.

I love this place even more every time I go. Always a different fantastic experience, so much to do and see on the lake.

The cabins are good for feeling in your surrounds, and we love sitting on the side where you can see the lake and bush.

Can’t wait to come back!!

Decided to give this lovely spot another go and was very happy indeed! Great spot, great staff & excellent fishing! If fishing is not your thing bring your clubs & have a whack up at their own golf course! Or canoe or kayak & paddle around Smiths Lake (its big so lots to explore!) Will be visiting again for sure

We love it here. We have been camping here for years. Great place,Family friendly, friendly staff, relaxed camping. Some of the other reviews made me laugh. Complaining about ducks hahahaha . It makes me wonder if the bad reviewers were asked to leave for bad behaviour and are not welcome back? I recommend you give this caravan park a look in and decide for yourself.
