Best Camping spot until now. You have good facilities like the toilet, villas, campground, lake, electric bbqs, drinkable water all over the place. Best if you have a jet ski, boat, tube or kayak. Also it's a very good spot for fishing.

I was sceptical at attempting camping, until a recent experience at lake glenbawn which changed my perspective. Living in a tent, cooking on a portable gas stove, mash mellow over the camp fire, no mobile phone for a few days outside your normal life can be just as exciting.

Picking the the right location for camping is important and what’s right for you and your family. Lake glenbawn is an unpowered site but provides you the opportunity to pick your own camping grounds. Where as a powered site is a dedicated spot and you could be surrounded by lots of campers. Lake glenbawn provides sweeping views of the beautiful lake on a nice sunny blue sky day, while on a rainy cloudy day there’s not much to be seen or do at the camping area.

Amenities are decent with toilet and shower facilities at certain locations within the camping area. They also have a small kiosk to purchase coffee, cold drinks, some snacks, hats and fishing gear. There is also a playground area for the kids if water isn’t their thing.

How to keep yourself entertained:
1. water activity - inflatable boat, engine driven boats, kayak, stand-up paddle board, fishing or swimming.
2. Drive out of the camping ground and explore nearby places
3. Go with a group of people
4. Take plenty of food and drinks
5. Turn your mobile off

First camping with friends in Australia. Really nice and fun. Lake Glenbawn is not too far from Sydney, and lots of cute farms around here. We visited Aberdeen and Scores for shopping and McDonald’s. They are nice and beautiful.

Hey I'm Shane,

Me and my best friends family went to Lake Glenbawn from Sydney, for two night's and arrived home today. I loved the layout of the camping ground and how the grass is so green. Nature at your door and at your tips at the lake bed. We saw kangaroos around the camping grounds and I loved it, we all did. Great fishing spots around the bends of the vast looking lake. If swimming in the waters and pushing in the kayak to jet ski's and boats, there's more.. BBQ and seating areas provided, parking spaces beside your cabins providing a laundry area with living rooms varying in numbers. In case your wanting to have something to eat or to drink there's a shop on terrace to supply different goods, including hot food choices and fishing equipment. Family and friends friendly, we've made a few friends during the stay. 5 starts.

Great for a relaxing weekend away or for fishing from a boat or from the shore.
Cabins and bungalows are comfortable, clean and with a fantastic view of the dam from the Verandahs.
There is plenty of wildlife and birds in the area and come up close to the camping areas and cabins.
Also a good spot for kids, either at the camping areas and cabins.
The kiosk is open from 9am til 2.30pm offering burgers, fish and chips etc plus sandwiches, slices, ice creams, coffee, milk shakes and cold drinks.
Can also buy fishing needs and worms plus a some groceries.
The park is close to Scone and Aberdeen.

I love this place. It has a great, well kept 2 lane boat ramp we use, the amenities are always clean and maintained, the grounds are impeccable and the manager is friendly. Plus its cheap! Opening the kiosk would be a plus but youre only 15 mins out if Aberdeen if you desperately need anything.
