Bulahdelah Golf Club

So we camped, played some golf and ate at the Chinese restaurant and had an amazing experience in all regards.

The camping could not be more straightforward, drive up, park up, and relax. The facilities are well kept, $5 for a shower not bad at all. There was plenty of space for camping too, we arrived at about 2:15 pm and there was plenty of room. People seemed to start arriving around 4 pm onwards.

Met some very friendly volunteers in the clubhouse and asked if I could rent some clubs to have a go on the driving range. Immediately, they helped to sort this, and for the price of $10, I was allowed them and balls as long as I wanted them.

The restaurant was recommended but definitely lived up to it. We splurged a little, getting everything in the attached video for $88. Couldn't fault it, the meal was flavourful and all tasted very fresh with a lot of variety. Prices are very reasonable for the portions.

Drinks at the bar are also reasonable. A large glass of white wine was $6!

Overall, it was an amazing experience here and recommended to others, campers/golfers/diners alike.

Visited the Chinese restaurant and the food was wonderful, was served quick and was overall great value. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, including the staff at the main golf club bar. The restaurant and the bar were very tidy and well kept. There is a nice view out from the club onto the golf corse, and is also free camping out the front.

This is a small club and the staff are very nice. I ate early after a long drive (took an hour to go through Coffs Harbour) and the Chinese food was lovely. It was very comfortable place to be on - nice atmosphere.

Welcome to the Buladelah Golf Club, where the grass may not be greener on the other side, but hey, it's still grass! For a mere $20, you can unleash your inner Tiger Woods on this well-maintained course. And if you're feeling fancy, toss in an extra $5 for club hire; sure, those clubs might have been around since the days of Willie Park Snr, but who needs cutting-edge technology when you've got a $5 swing?

The staff here are as friendly as your golf buddies after a few rounds of 'mulligans.' Plus, with drinks that won't break the bank, you can drown your scorecard sorrows without emptying your wallet.

Just remember, folks, keep those expectations low, and you'll be soaring high on the fairways of mediocrity. So, grab your clubs, embrace the nostalgia, and prepare for a golfing adventure that's as unpredictable as your slice off the tee!

I don't play golf but stopped here with a friend for lunch. It was Chinese style day. The food was absolutely delicious! Top marks to the chef, fresh, hot, tasty, and good value for money.
Grafted a coffee from the bar and that too tha spot on!

Came here for the free camping spots on the side of the gold field. I woke up with the nice surprise of a group of cangaroos very close to me.

Great free limited (get in quick) overnight caravan parking. Chinese Cafe in the golf club. Exceptionally low prices on their menu for the tastiest Chinese food in the land. Another bonus is the $20 all day golf.. It's run by volunteers but is in immaculate condition. I rate this as the best Bargain Stopover so far on our trip around Australia. Cold beer and mixed drinks available. Must buy their alcohol only on the course. Highly recommend this wonderful little gem of a stopover.

I went to the resteraunt to have a $9 Chinese lunch. I had chicken with plum sauce. Good value if your on your way somewhere and driving past. Better than maccas. And yes they do have toilets. It is a little club but who cares?

As far as free camping goes it was great. We stopped in Bulahdelah for food and tried to book in somewhere and they informed us they were full and gave us the details for the Golf club. Rang the guy and he said to come on down to Golf Course carpark and grab a spot. Spot is remote but can hear traffic so, that plus other campers made it less overwhelming. One toilet which may seem sparse but for the last minute camper who fetches up there out of necessity it was heaven. Most of the campers had their own facilities anyway so although there were about 12 vehicles only a couple of us needed to use bathroom.

Bulahdelah golf club chinese restaurant. Best chinese meal I've had between Dungog and south west rocks.

Visited again 12/1/23.
Again welcomed in the club by friendly staff and once again the Chinese meal was to die for.
Will certainly be visiting again.

And did I mention. The course is in tip top shape.

Very nice stay. People complain about the road noise but honestly we didn't hear anything. There's a toilet available but you might not want to use at night once all the creppy crawlies come out! Haha
The food at the restaurant is 10/10, they do lunch for $12 Wednesday-Sunday.
Either treat yourselves to a feed or leave a donation!

Sooooooo glad we stayed here for the night. The locals were so appreciative that we called in as it helped their town. The Chinese food was the best we’ve had in years and so affordable - thanks to the beautiful Laynie who served us. Had a few drinks and also great value. Clean, tidy and just a lovely quiet place to be on a Saturday night. Highly recommend 👍😊

Pulled in as an alternative to a pie on the highway and was pleasantly surprised the Chinese was quick and the food was good definitely an alternative worth stopping. If your A golfer and travelling support your local golf club and visit ones when your away

We spent there one night and woke up early. It was worth it.. a beautiful sunrise with lot of wallabies on the playground.

Great spot to stop in our Motorhome while we explore the are. Great Chinese.
