I’ve been coming to this restaurant on multiply occasions on every return trip to Sydney. This family business is filled with full or passion and love. The dishes are so authentic Vietnamese flavours - being Vietnamese myself, that is saying something. You can’t go wrong. The sauces are so fine and authentic. Try the crispy eggplant. For drinks, try the frozen lychee drink or the fresh young coconut drink.

Get the beef pho!! One of the best phos I’ve tried. This one specifically tastes much more flavorful and a bit sweet. It also has nice noodles and the beef falls off of the bone! Might order often if I want a hearty but still light soup. The chicken spring roll was also good, the dipping sauce makes it better!

This was about my fourth visit in twelve months. The same consistent great Vietnamese food along with hard working and happy staff (I suspect this is a family business). Always generous portions and I have never spotted any food hygiene issues. The inside tables are almost always packed which is a good sign and outside tables while basic allow you take in the King Street vibe. They work on turning over the tables and in any case it is not the sort of restaurant to linger after dinner. The photo with this review is of the vermicelli bowl with spring rolls. One of my favourites. The Saigon tea is refreshing and unlike the commercial bottled stuff not too sweet. I will be back. Warning they do not take EFTPOS or cards however it is easy to pay if you can use Pay ID via your phone or that lovely old fashioned stuff cash.

So happy to find an authentic Việt joint that has good variety. Definitely try their bánh xèo (vietnamese pancake) and different flavoured drinks. Simply fresh, delicious and value for money. PayID or cash

The BEST experience I’ve had in Newtown as a local for the last 7 years, our waiter’s name was Daniel and he accommodated so well and gave us such a great experience and THE FOOOD was to die for, this is cuisine at its finest. Will be coming back for years to come! WOW

Simply delicious. Everything was amazing. The Vietnamese pancake was so crispy and packed full of veggies. Pho had a great flavour, crispy chicken was perfectly cooked and rice paper rolls were excellent too. Service was quick and friendly. We will be back here for sure.

As someone who frequents Cabramatta for their Vietnamese cuisine fix, this place is a gem!

I've eaten a lot of pho (generally sticking to pho dac biet) but the beef brisket pho was divine and I will be coming back for more! The banh xao (shrimp, bean sprout crepe type dish) was fresh and crisp. Generous with the shrimp too. The chicken salad was just the right amount of spice too!

Really nice staff here, feels like a family. Decor is nothing posh, which is exactly what you want. Super welcoming atmosphere.

Looking forward to spreading the love and taking my other friends here.

12hr slow cooked Beef Rib Pho! Drop the mic. Run don’t walk! A bargin at half the price! It’s virtually impossible to eat it all in one sitting. Make sure you get the 5 spice pork chop takeaway. You’ve done it again Mother Yen 🙏

This place masquerades as a small Vietnamese eatery, which it is, and with a warm and family-style welcoming atmosphere, which also yes. BUT the food is clearly a step above with vivid balanced flavours and stunningly fresh, crispy produce. The fried egg on my grilled pork chop rice even made me tear up a little, just perfectly, marginally charred with a sunny side yolk oozing over the white rice. We ordered fried chicken and soup noodles, sugarcane pork nem lieu da nang, vermicelli noodle salad and grilled pork with egg and rice, all delicious, massive and cheap.

One of my fave locals. A really friendly family, msg-free food and never disappoints. I rate the salt & pepper tofu, beef pho, spicy beef soup, banh xeo (Vietnamese pancake) and beef vermicelli salad. 💚

Absolutely marvellous food. Chicken laksa and the Salt-N-Pepa crab we’re just outstanding; some of the best I’ve ever eaten.

And the atmosphere is exactly the kind of cute little kitch and cosy set up you would expect from a family run Vietnamese restaurant. Gorgeous.

5 stars. Love it!

Hidden gem in the inner west. Their Pho is the bomb! Honestly obsessed with Mother yen. The family that run it are the best and their spicy chicken wings are literally so good that we order extra to take home every time.

We had dinner here last Friday. Absolutely loved the food. The meat was well cooked and juicy. The sauce also tasted good.
