KINDRED Restaurant

This is such an amazing cozy Italian restaurant. The food quality is excellent. Absolutely top notch. The service is friendly too. The place seems to be usually busy, but deservedly so. Everything is so good here. If you're not getting the banquet, don't skip the desserts, they're fantastic.

My only gripe about this place is not having found it sooner. Food is very delicious, service is impeccable and the ambiance is warm, relaxed and inviting but not too casual. The chef hat hasn’t caused enormous price hikes (as some restaurants do after gaining the accolade) and the menu is very good value for money

We had the tasting menu, one vegetarian and one meat. For $69, it was a very nice meal, considering all that you get in it which is a lot of food, enough for us to take some home. The dimly lit inner city suburban interiors had an intimate atmosphere, perfect for a date. The service was friendly and amicable, all of the waiters paid close attention to our needs, and the volume of water in our glasses.

A nice meal indeed, for 69 dollarydoos each, very nice. Would return.

We had delicious lunch for a special occasion, 51st Birthday. 7 of us got a table in a private room, upstairs.
- Food : We have ordered Chef' Tasting Menu (Whole table has the same thing). Everything was delicious. Perfect portion. It was enough for everyone and no leftover. The food was fresh, tasty, and full of flavour. Great Italian pasta and fusion food like Steak Tartar(raw minced beef). Sourdough Bread was delicious and soft. It was one of the best breads I had. It was served with a very generous portion (so big) with butter.
Dessert: Tiramisu and Chocolate Semifreddo, both of them were delicious, perfect portion. Tiramisu was so soft and melted in your mouth.
Drink: I have ordered the Passion Fruit Cocktail, perfect for me, sweet but not too sweet. Red Wine was great, as well as Lemoncello.
Service: Great service from 2 super friendly staff. Attentive, polite, smiling, and helpful.
Special : Cannot miss to mention that the restaurant pays attention to the customer who has food restriction. We had a member who is allergic to nuts, so the restaurant offered separate food with no nut. Thank you for that.

Would absolutely recommend this cozy restaurant to my friends who are visiting Sydney! The T-bone steak is super delicious and very tender. The cauliflower, gnocchi, and tiramisu were also very very good. This is the best meal that I’ve had throughout my trip to Sydney 😍 The waitress and the other staff were extremely friendly as well! ☺ 100/10 experience 💯

Kindred Restaurant is such a special place to share a romantic meal or dinner with friends. The food is flavoursome with so much thought and love to tantalise your taste buds. We shared several dishes for a broad taste of the menu and we were more than satisfied with the delicious generous portions. There’s an extensive drinks and wine selection. We came here for my birthday dinner and got the set menu. Food was perfect and so filling. Staff were amazing and very kind!

A wonderful, cosy atmosphere and all-round fantastic experience.

We did the chef's tasting and it was super delicious. So many well balanced flavours that surpassed my expectations from just reading the menu.

The carrot triangoli was the stand out that absolutely blew me away! The tiramisu is also to die for.

So glad we found this awesome restaurant. Every single dish we had was absolutely delicious. The service is also impeccable. We definitely will be back!

Every time I come here I am impressed. Beautiful thoughtful dishes and hand made pasta to die for. Dishes are priced reasonably and service is excellent. Highlights- The trout dip, sourdough, carrot triangoli and the beef shin ragyu

I had come on a recommendation from a close mate and he talked kindrid up alot.

They did not disappoint it was even better then I was hoping it could be. Such a nice intimate setting.

We did the chefs tasting menu to try a bit of everything. For me this has to do the best finer Italian I've had for the price. All the dishes were amazing and were constantly fought over who got the last piece each one.

The service was on point and staff were amazing. I will definitely be making this a regular occurrence of coming back.

Always amazing, the bread and butter are exceptional. I always think that the salad at the end is slightly too salty, but everything else is just incredibly good!

We had the Chef's Tasting menu and it was amazing. We went with the gnocchi over the pappardelle. I wasn't too bothered with the desserts or cabbage salad but everything else was so delicious!

Dishes came out faster than we'd expected so we asked for a small break before dessert. The restaurant is very noisy - we were grateful to have been seated right at the top level. Even so, when guests were seated on the table next to us (less than a metre away?) it became a very stressful experience because they were speaking very loudly with each other - it was such a relief when they finally left. I really wish the restaurant has a larger premises as the food definitely deserves a better experience. (My partner didn't want me to ask them to try to speak more quietly).

Fabulous food but if you're looking for a quiet, intimate experience, this probably isn't the place. I'd describe it as a more casual, busy canteen atmosphere with fantastic food and great service. Would love to visit again - if only the noise levels could be managed better!

Without the bread, would this place be as iconic as that orange politician? It's pretty fab, but is it enough? The olive oil is the choice here. It's possibly the best I've ever slid down the cake hole. The rest of the menu is a combo of paint by numbers and new friends. Both fare well. It's all above average, and the ingredients are top notch. It's kinds cafe paci without the wow (paci is pretty amazing), but the service is very good, and the room good enough. Free fizzy water always makes me smile, and the tiramisu is just about perfect. A good choice if you're in the hood.

I live locally and wish I had discovered Kindred before. Went for a special occasion. The food is exceptional value for money with decent sized portions. Homely and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended 👍👍👍👍👍

Tired many many many good Italian restaurants around Sydney but this one is absolutely the best one . Service is great lots of great options for vegetarians too ... The chef is great .

We almost missed out on experiencing this amazing restaurant...

When we called to book a table, they were booked out and we had started to look elsewhere. To the restaurant's credit, they called us back when a slot opened up and were able to accommodate us for dinner. Great start!

The restaurant has a great vibe with it's dimly-lit interiors and flickering candlelights. The staff were exceptionally friendly and made us feel very comfortable. Our hostess also offered genuine suggestions when asked "what do you think is the best?" It instilled in us a sense of comfort and being taken care of.

As for the food, there's not much I can put into words. Every course was better than the last. As vegetarians, we did not have very many choices (as is the case pretty much everywhere), but what we did order was top-notch.

Highly recommend the carrot triangoli to start things off. It is a complex and quaint dish with many subtle flavors layered on top of each other. The roasted cauliflower had more bold flavors but was equally delicious. The eggplant mains was done really well and someone who despises the vegetable, I was pleasantly surprised. The Tiramisu and the Semifreddo were the perfect desserts to end a wonderful evening.

Hoping to visit again and try their vegetarian tasting menu at some point. Until then, the memories and pictures from my gallery will have to do!

We had a lunch booking at kindred. Service was really good, the waitress was lovely. We shared a couple of entrees, the kingfish and roasted cauliflower dishes were both incredible. We had the beef shin ragu as a main which was good (not quite as good as the entrees). One of the stand out places in Sydney for us, can see why the reviews are so good. Would highly recommend.

Amazing bread, Burrata and chocolate semifreddo. Homemade pasta is worth a try too!

This restaurant has quickly become one of my favorites as well. The rustic ambiance adds a charming touch to the dining experience, and the wide variety of delicious pastas they offer is truly impressive. The desserts are equally delightful and add a perfect finishing touch to the meal. Overall, it’s a true gem of a place that I highly recommend visiting.
