The West Winds Distillery & Tavern

We had an awesome afternoon with amazing food. What topped off the experience was having Gary, one of the distillers, doing our Gin tasting session. Gary was very informative, friendly and great to deal with! We learnt a lot about Gin and about the local area and what to see and do thanks to Gary. Will definitely recommend anyone travelling to the Margaret River region to stop in for some food and Gin! Thanks again Gary!

I’ve done two tastings at West Winds and have been met both times with wonderful and friendly staff presenting truly fantastic gins. People who care about the product and not just the sale! (Though both visits I’ve purchased a bottle or two). Food is excellent and venue has fantastic ambience. Even on a hot day their misters and fans will keep you cool - not to mention their delicious brew. Cannot recommend enough.

Went for lunch with a group of friends on Saturday and had an excellent experience at West Winds Distillery. All the drinks were raved about, even the mocktails (see watermelon mocktail pic) and the food was sensational. It took a while to order because only one person was serving but the food came really quickly. Great location & highly recommend.

Girls trip to Busselton and this had to be one of our favourite places we ventured out to. The smoked meats were a great choice for lunch and a great price, gin tasting and service, amazing. I will be bringing others for the experience. Also I'm already out of all the gin I purchased! Will be back soon.

Had a great experience last night at West Winds. We both had the duck curry which is one the best I've ever had! Will definitley be coming back for that dish again and again. Well done chef. Good to see a Tavern doing a bit more than just pub grub.

Been here a few times and my last visit last time has been the best yet. They seem to have added a lot more to their venue and we were all so happy with our portion sizes and flavours! Cocktail jugs a must too!! We all walked out feeling like it was a money well spent!

Seth the manager is the backbone of this place always working hard and he makes it so great for us when we come here, huge pat on the back for him and also Zac. We can’t stop coming back 😂 best fish tacos I’ve ever tried and also the specials are always absolutely crazy I don’t think I’ve ever had such a great time at a tavern before. I’ve been about 10 times in the past two weeks 🥰😝Highly recommend this place!

We just enjoyed an awesome tasting experience with Gary as our guide. What a legend! 😁 extremely knowledgeable and passionate for his craft, and an awesome fun bloke to boot! Weve come away with a whole new appreciation for gin and the craft that goes into distilling it, as well as the art of enjoying it. Thanks Gary!👍

We had the pleasure of a gin tasting at West Winds Gin Distillery, Cowaramup.
Gary allowed us to take our time and fully awaken the senses on this gin adventure. The attention to detail and the passion in this gin was evident, as we worked our way down the paddle. It's safe to say that after this tasting we now fully appreciate that "gin is a thing!" A delightful and educational experience that we highly recommend to all gin enthusiasts and gin novices.

What a fantastic morning at west winds. The beautiful Anne-Marie made our tasting experience 5 star. Extremely knowledgeable and made our family trip out very enjoyable. So hard to choose which ones we liked the best. Will definitely be back

Fabulous experience, so many gins and all wonderful in their own stand alone flavour. Small distillery with a big heart. So many lovely gins, each with their own unique story. Little out of the way but well worth it. I will be telling all my gin loving friends about this place, and glad we got to experience this lovely place today as if the gins are anything to go by, it’s sure to get packed soon!

Im in KL and the gin is here and couldn’t resist but to order it and was reminded how good the gin is and how good the customer service is. Strawberry and mint I think it is, remind my favorite

We did a tasting with Nicko and it was amazing. The gin was delicious and Nicko made us feel so comfortable and answered all of our questions.

We called in here for a late lunch with our toddler on a Friday. A great pitstop on our way down south! The food was great, especially the kids charcuterie plate, and the cocktails were good value and delicious. Relaxed vibe with plenty of space and games (and a boat!) for kids. Highly recommend.

Beautiful atmosphere, service and food. Absolutely loved the gin tasting as well. Highly recommend and we will definitely be coming back!

Great resturent and distillery. My wife and me went the day before yesterday for lunch. Outside and indoor sitting available. Also, upstairs. Food was great. Good customer service. Highly recommend. Will visit again.

We stopped by West Winds Distillery as we haven't yet visited their new site. It's a great location and a really well designed venue. The staff were welcoming and helpful.
We ordered the octopus with patatas gratis - amazing! - along with 2 gin and tonics - can't go wrong with their gin, we've been fans for many years.
Definitely recommend a visit

We had done a gin tasting with a small group and Nico who we later found out was in training just seemed to have special touch. He filled us with loads of info about each individual gin we tried and knew exactly what each gin represented. Couldn’t have gotten a better host for the day. Cheers Nico :)

Their first two gins - The Sabre and The Cutlass - was evident they were ‘getting it right’, with Cutlass winning a Double Gold – the First Australian spirit in any category to win a Double Gold - and Sabre a Gold, at The World’s Most Recognised Spirit Competition in San Francisco.

Honouring the land and local suppliers, West Winds choose to use, where possible, environmentally sustainable produce including banksia honey, native bush tomatoes, Davidson plums, native thyme, lemon myrtle, cinnamon myrtle, strawberry gum leaves, sloe berries and sea parsley.

This family friendly tavern also serves up handcrafted cocktails, local craft beers, and regional wines along with a seasonal menu with the freshest local produce and seafood. Our shared choices today -

The gins here are amazing. The depth of flavour and spice in these gins are fantastic.

We came here for the gin but had to come back the following day to try the wines.

Another traveller was raving about them so we came back, but not until after we tried the entire range of gins. Flavour and joy in a bottle.

The host was amazing friendly and fun.
